The Asics x Extra Butter “Death List 5″ series is nearing its completion, with the final Asics Gel Lyte V “Snake Charmer” pair set to release on February 7th. The good news is that if you’re still missing any of the pairs from the epic set, Extra Butter is planning to restock the entirety of them over the next week. Beginning Monday, February 3rd, they will release 24 pairs per day-12 of them in store at the LES location and another 12 online later in the evening. Asics has more retro silhouettes on the shelves than usual right now thanks to the arrival of the Asics Gel Lyte V, the Asics GT-Cool, and the like. But that doesn’t mean that the models more used to the spotlight will be slipping at all with respect to their retail releases. Case in point is this Asics Gel Saga that’s a part of the upcoming “Valentines Day” Asics pack. Asics is amongst the brands that will be chipping in with some Valentines Day sneakers for February. Their offerings, consisting of the Asics Gel Saga and the Asics Gel Lyte III, are spotted here and have apparently been christened as the “Lovers and Haters” pack. The Asics Gel Lyte III is one of those timeless retro silhouettes that you just can’t imagine will ever be lacking in popularity. The model is, at this point, an undeniable staple of the retro footwear lineup for the brand, and is consistently getting the big up treatment from various partners on the collaborations side. But if you’re not also up on the likes of the Asics Gel Saga, the Asics Gel Lyte V, Asics GT-Cool, and the soon to return Asics GT Quick then you’re doing yourself a disservice; all models, which fall in the heralded GT heritage, are champions in their own right, and with Asics poised to bring back the latter models, expect them to regain a level of GLIII prominence.

After the likes of the Asics Gel Saga “Rudolph”, you really don’t have any excuse to be ignoring the Gel Saga pairs that aren’t of the collab sort. Coming with another hit of that sort is this inline pair, which starts off with a grey suede and gets some almost Miami Dolphins looking flavor with the addition of orange and blue in the accents. They’ve not yet been spotted at US retailers, but thanks to Asics’ more liberal distribution here in the states over the past couple of years they’ll likely be at your local account after too long.
