We recently saw a “Year of the Snake” version of the Reebok Question come to light, but let’s not forget this classier version that BAIT mocked up for a 2013 release. We actually caught a glimpse of these back in February, and although release information hasn’t surfaced just yet, these have popped up back into the limelight thanks to a cool project by Korean artist Coolrain, who created a pair of mini-Questions for San Diego Comic Con this past weekend. We hope release info surfaces soon, but until then, stay tuned to Sneaker News and enjoy the extra shots below.

Shown here is a 100-run box set featuring those sneakers. Packaged with the black and yellow bangers is a special hang-tag pointing to their super limited status and a t-shirt that sticks to the same colorway. BAIT x Asics Gel Saga II – November 2013

March 27th, 2013 by | 1 comment

bait asics gel saga ii november 2013 02 BAIT x Asics Gel Saga II November 2013

There aren’t too many US sneaker shops able to pull down Asics collaborations at the moment. The still-young BAIT has already landed themselves on that list though, releasing the sizable “Rings Pack” last year. In 2013 they’ve got even more on that in the form of this clean Asics Gel Saga II getup. Yes that’s the Asics Gel Saga II-a name that even Asics seems to be straying away from as the box tags as of late skip out on that crucial designation of this silo as a sequel. See more on the BAIT x Asics Gel Saga II, an apparent November 2013 release, after the jump and tell us what you think.

The Reebok Question is a model that we’ve seen brush up against the snakeskin look a couple of times before. There was that killer snakeskin custom that popped up at last year, and then there was Swizz Beatz’ recent Reebok sketch that promised a forthcoming reptilian pair. Adding to that group is an upcoming collaboration from the likes of BAIT on that same silhouette. Hit the jump for the full photo of the BAIT x Reebok Question ‘Year of the Snake’ and check back with us to find out when they’ll be releasing.

PYS x BAIT x Saucony Shadow 6000 “Blue Apple”

Scientists decoded the apple’s genome a short while back, which means we’ll soon have even more than the nearly eight thousand varieties currently grown across the world.  The vast majority of these fruits are in the red-green color range with plenty of yellow in between, and there are precisely zero true blue varieties, though the Blue Pearmain is known for its namesake dusty coating.  A similar proportion of red and blue can be found on the latest Saucony collaboration, though the result is truly more like a minty toothpaste than a Martinelli’s mini jug.  The PYS x BAIT x Saucony Shadow 6000 ’Blue Apple’ tempts you with a gum-soled Aqua Fresh colorup (almost the opposite of this duo’s ‘Blue Ring’ Asics Gel Lyte III) and you can see more after the jump, but don’t wait too long because these are coming up fast with a Thursday, October 18th release at Noon EST/9am PST at PYS and Bait‘s e- and flagship stores.

Word is that this new “lifestyle boutique offering . . . exclusive collaborations with the industry’s most in-demand brands” rests its head in Orange County, but the closest Bait has come to opening doors in SoCal is greeting Comic Con attendees with the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants x Creative Recreation collabo.  But not so fast, Bait; even if your ’boutique’ might end up as an online shopping experience, let’s not overlook finishing strong the collaboration that put this brand on the map this May.  The Bait x Asics Rings Pack brings two more classic runners to retail in just a few short hours, with the Asics Gel Saga ‘Black Ring’ joining the ‘Green Ring’ Gel Lyte III with the 3M reflective side stripes and gold footbeds that unite this pack.  Let us know which is your personal ‘gold’ and grab them today at noon Pacific exclusively from Bait.
