The royal sneakers are clean your highness. The clean combos in question come courtesy of Boston’s Bodega, who have whipped up three pairs of the Vans OG Authentic LX constituting the “Coming to America” pack. The shoes reference the classic Eddie Murphy flick of the same name, their uppers decorated by some traditional looking African patterns that a keen eye just might be able to spot in said movie. Continue reading to get a more in depth look at the group and watch for them to drop soon at Bodega for $110 each.

The Bodega boys are apparently a busy bunch-as they’ve got yet another collab release on their plate. Shown here is the Bodega x New Balance 577, an upcoming partnership pair that grabs at at silhouette we’ve seen latched on to by the Euro crowd more often than not. The project is a colorful affair, with the New Balance 577 tossing on a bunch of brighter bits to spruce up the grey suede/canvas treatment up top. Just as exciting are the innards, which feature some popping pink and mention of a “HYPRCAT” theme. No word on the background there yet, but make sure you stay tuned to Sneaker News for more after you peep the post-jump photos of the Bodega x New Balance 577.

It’s been an incredible second half of 2012 for the Pro Leather in both high and lowtop form, as both Converse themselves and several First String collaborators have contributed to a ton of simple yet attractive colorways arriving over the past few months. Stussy’s patchwork design is likely still the most eye-catching and unique of them all, but these new designs from one of Boston’s best manages to shake things up as well, both for the silo and its guest designer. These Bodega x Converse First String Pro Leathers stray from what we’ve come to expect from BDGA over the years, but the application of the pony hair from high fashion items makes quite the impact whether it’s the all-over hightops, or the heel-striped lows. Both are ready for the Black Friday fracas with pyramid studs that have the ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ vibe associated with the (uncut) snake insignia on their tongue , so have a closer look after the jump and let us know if these make it onto your must-have list. Get ahead of the curve when these go online Thursday night at midnight, or if you miss the chance to cop via smartphone while in line elsewhere, they’ll be in-store on Friday.
