The latest rapper to get their own sneaker from the adidas team is Bun B. The man also known as the Trill OG was presented with a special pair of the adidas Superstar during his recent 40th birthday celebration. The pair comes with his name etched on the side, custom lacelocks, and a slick “Trill OG” logo towards the heel area. The adidas Originals team went all out with the packaging too, delivering the sneakers in a crispy white box with an accompanying dustbag. With the 2013 NBA All-Star Game taking place in Houston, you know that Bun B would definitely play a role in all the sneaker-related festivities! He was already a guest of honor at the Jordan Brand Flight Deck Experience, where he laid down a few bars in the built-in studio, but he also helped design a sick pair of the Jordan CP3.VI with his home city of Houston at center. Using the Houston Astros as the inspiration, Bun B designs his CP3.VI with Orange and Navy tones with a star logo on the heel and clean pinstriping on the toe-box and heel with “Awready” embroidered on the heel-tab. This sick colorway was also worn by Kevin Hart during the 2013 Celebrity All-Star Game before he switched to the Nike LeBron X ‘All-Star’ before taking home the MVP trophy. No doubt one of the tougher events to find your way into at this weekend’s 2013 NBA All-Star weekend was Michael Jordan’s 50th birthday party. The star studded event serendipitously lined up with the arrival of the Air Jordan XX8, an alignment reflected by the pairs popping up on the red carpet. Nike went to great lengths to connect this year’s NBA All-Star celebration in Houston with its sneaker offerings of the first quarter. Now we see one of the Texas metro’s footwear institutions join up with another brand and one of the rap game’s veteran sneakerheads as Bun B gets up with the guys from H-Town Sneaker Summit to produce this Supra ‘Trill-Star’ Pack. Working with an East blue/West red theme, Stevie Williams comes through with a royal suede and leather Supra S1W while Terry Kennedy’s Stacks reps the left coast, utilixing a similar material mix atop the milky translucent sole. These will release at the H-Town Sneaker Summit that kicks off on 3pm and wraps up just before the game on Sunday, as well as a select list of retailers you can see along with more photos below.

The recent launch of the Hennessy x Futura collection out in LA was a star studded event, one that brought out a good number of celebs who definitely do their thing with respect to sneakers. After all, Futura himself has been behind a good number of classic Swoosh sneakers so it would only be right to show up with some proper footwear. We’ll put Bun B at the top of the heap, already breaking out his pair of the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low collab for 2012. After that Tristan Wilds of The Wire fame rocks the Air Jordan III, Jesse Williams breaks out the just released Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse ‘OG Blue’, and more. As it turns out Kevin Durant isn’t the only person being outfitted with a special pair of the Nike Zoom KD IV for the 2012 NBA Finals. Also privy to a premium pair is Bun B’s wife Queenie, who was granted this electric black and volt colorway from KD himself, signature and all. The unreleased Nike Zoom KD IV was also spotted recently courtside on the feet of Nike designer and KD confidant Leo Chang, a sighting that no doubt motivated this gracious gifting.
