Cadillac grills, Cadillac mills. Check out the oil on my Cadillac…sneakers? On a scale of 1-to-10, that might score a negative-three in the make-sense-o-meter. Cadillac, the luxury subsidiary of General Motors, has embarked upon a new endeavor of sorts, as the auto company known for its stretch coupes or more recently its daunting SUVs is now trying its hand with sneakers, and its employing the help of Bun B, a hip-hop recording artist who is also recognized for his penchant for flashy footwear. Bun B’s been spotted with Space Jam-esque kicks recently, like the Air Jordan XI Retro to a pair of Space Jam Bespokes, but this new pair is indeed a set of Cadillacs in a piano black patent leather and mesh-type material underlay. A Cadillac crest logo is also placed adroitly on the rear heel of the midsole as well. Take a look at Bun B’s newest kicks and let us know what you think of this latest partnership. via FRESHNESS.

Bun B’s recently dropped “Trill O.G.” album has been boding quite well for the Houston-based hip-hop artist; in a recent stop in the ATL, Bun B received a special gift from pal DJ Greg Street – a pair of Original Air Jordan VII Cardinals. The Cardinal VII originally debuted just under eighteen years ago and retroed in 2006, and just yesterday Sneaker News filled you in on a possible re-release for Summer 2011. Bun B is a noted sneakerhead and has been in the game for some time, and he even suggested a “Trill O.G. Air Jordan VII” idea to Jordan Brand – but that’s unlikely to happen. Check out the video after the jump to see Bun B’s newest Air Jordan pick-up and let us know if you’re looking to cop a potential Cardinal VII Retro next year or if your ’06 pair is still sitting pretty.
