Burn Rubber is back in bed with the sneaker brand that first gave them the chance to whip up a collab: New Balance. This time around the team out in Detroit has got their hands on the New Balance 574, equipping that model with a tribute colorway in honor of the Detroit Tiger’s very own Miguel Cabrera and his 2012 Triple Crown Victory. The suede and mesh sneakers sport a Tigers colorway along with a triple crown logo on the tongue, and are limited to just 44 pairs to coincide with Miguel’s 44 home runs. The final episode of Detroit Rubber (for the time being) has arrived. The Burn Rubber team continues to keep their name buzzing with the sneaker public via the upcoming Reebok Classic Leather pair that they’ve crafted. The sneakers are very much a hometown affair, as the colorway (And the insoles specifically) pay tribute to the Spirit of Detroit statue that can be seen in the city. The guys at Burn Rubber have quietly been at work whipping out a collab version of the Reebok Classic Leather (Who knows how they found time for that in between filming their YouTube series). The result is a mixture of blue and cream with a gum sole along the bottom. Rick and Ro apparently rolled around their city of Detorit looking for inspiration, and ended up building a sneaker paying homage to the Spirit of Detroit statue right there in the Motor City. Rick and Ro of Burn Rubber fame have apparently got a new venture going on out in Detroit-their more upscale leaning shop Two/Eighteen. Celebrating the grand opening of that spot is the latest episode of their YouTube series Detroit Rubber. As they work on setting up the store, a couple of BR’s underlings are sent out to find folks to attend the shop’s opening night.
