air jordan iii white harbor blue boarder blue Classics Revisited: Air Jordan III Harbor Blue (2007)

Closing out our week-long Classics Revisited tribute to the most memorable womens Air Jordan Retro releases is this 2007 introduction of ‘Harbor Blue’. This colorway is considered to be one of the most popular women’s colorways due to the popular model and the easy unisex crossover of the colorway. It feature a tonal white leather upper with a classy elephant print of White and Harbor Blue, with the more vibrant Boarder Blue on the outsole and the interior lining of the tongue. Although no women-exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan III released during the 2011 celebration of the Air Jordan III, it appears that 2013 will feature some newer GS editions that could potentially lead to some new women’s colorways. More of the Air Jordan III ‘Harbor Blue’ after the jump, so check it out and stay tuned for another week of classic kicks on Monday!

Classics Revisited: Air Jordan VIII “Aqua” (2007)

wmns air jordan 8 retro white aqua Classics Revisited: Air Jordan VIII Aqua (2007)

In 2013, Jordan Brand will re-issue the original Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ – but will the women’s version follow? This colorway was first introduced to store shelves in September of 2007, a fond remix of the fan-favorite Aqua, Dark Concord, and a light yellow on a White/Grey upper. This colorway dropped among a variety of new Air Jordan VIII colorways, which we can certainly expect when the Air Jordan VIII releases in a small but powerful cluster in the Summer 2013 season. The women’s version of the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ is considered to be one of the best women-specific releases ever, so let’s hope Jordan Brand is ready to follow up next year! Another volume of Air Jordan Womens in Classics Revisited is below, so check it out and let us know if you have these in your collection.

Classics Revisited: Air Jordan V “Shy Pink” (2006)

air jordan v shy pink Classics Revisited: Air Jordan V Shy Pink (2006)

Although today’s men’s footwear releases have shown no reservations when it comes to using pink, that light and fluffy of color was typically reserved for women’s shoes – like this 2006 release of the Air Jordan V. Dubbed the ‘Shy Pink’ edition, this Air Jordan V released in October 0f 2006 and marks the first-ever Air Jordan V made specifically for the ladies. Despite the gender designation, the Shy Pink V was a popular choice among men as the release followed the birth of the questionable era marked by Cam’ron’s affinity with pink. Following the Air Jordan V ‘Shy Pink’, a few other women’s Air Jordan V releases hit stores, like the ‘Sunset’ and two Air Jordan V Lows. More of tonight’s Classic Revisited after the jump so check out this ’06 Air Jordan classic and stay tuned for more from this week’s theme tomorrow!

Classics Revisited: Air Jordan IV “Linen” (2006)

jordan iv linen Classics Revisited: Air Jordan IV Linen (2006)

In 2006, Jordan Brand re-issued the beloved Air Jordan IV in a slew of colorways both new and old; the “old” (Military IV as well as the ‘Mars’) was outnumbered by the “new”, as we saw several LS or ‘Lifestyle’ colorways hit store shelves. Jordan Brand went ahead and created a womens exclusive colorway – this White/Boarder Blue-Light Sand version that was quickly given the ‘Linen’ colorway for its semblance to the ’05 Retro release of the Air Jordan X (which itself grabbed ‘Linen’ from that classic Air Force 1 Low colorway). These were limited to select Jordan Brand retailers and are considered to be one of the more underrated and overlooked Air Jordan Retros of the last decade. Check out tonight’s Classics Revisited after the jump and let us know if you’ve got this seldom-seen Retro in your rotation!

Classics Revisited: Air Jordan XI Low “Citrus” (2001)

citrus jordan 11 low 2001 release Classics Revisited: Air Jordan XI Low Citrus (2001)

Time to show the lady Jordan-fiends some love. Jordan Brand began producing womens-only releases of Air Jordan Retros back in 2001, starting with a series of Air Jordan XI Lows in some unexpected and impressive colorways. One standout was the ‘Citrus’ of April 2001; it was the first Air Jordan XI to feature a sole color that wasn’t red, translucent, or solid-black, and stands as the lone all-white low-top XI ever (up until the White/Varsity Red release earlier this year). The translucent ‘Citrus’ was matched with the similarly colored stripe on the tongue as well as the Jumpman and ’23′ branding on the heel. This understated and Summer-friendly colorway was released at select retailers and is a true collectors item given its rarity (particularly the larger-sized productions). Kick off Classics Revisited: Air Jordan Womens week with a true banger and stay tuned for more sick productions!
