One of the quirkiest ‘Retro’ releases of the decade is easily the Nike Tailwind Night Track Disco – one of the earliest ‘PE’ Nikes to ever leave Beaverton. The glittery silver and daring red colorway was a special version of the Tailwind that was designed for the disco craze (disco dancing “counts”), given to the biggest celebrities of that era like Michael Jackson and David Hasselhoff. Continuing the legacy of Disco Fever is this Silver/Navy colorway; this special edition of the Tailwind Night Track Disco will be exclusive to French retailer colette and will officially drop on March 11th at 4 PM (local time to zee French), so check out the extra images below and let us know if you like these better than the OG red version!

Sneaker News recently previewed a collaboration between Pony and legendary hip-hop photographer Ricky Powell, and while his name might only be familiar to the older sneakerheads, here’s another picture-taker that’ll be more recognizeable to the younger set. It’s printed on the insoles, and you can see those details and more when you click through for more images.

Italian footwear label ellesse has launched a collaborative capsule of its most classic sneaker designs with five prominent sneaker retailers in Europe. One of the ‘Fab Five’ is colette, in which the Parisian boutique designed the ellesse Assist 1 basketball shoe; colette’s take on the sneaker is that of a royal blue upper with polka-dotted laces and the iconic ellesse typefont printed boldly on the upper as well as on the tongue. Just 150 pairs of each Ellesse ‘Fab Five’ design will be produced, and colette will only sell 50 units! Check out the detailed shots of this notable collaborative effort and let us know what you think.
