Complex went ahead and took a stab at that, compiling what they’re billing as the 30 Most Influential Sneakers of All Time. Some of them are billed as such for the impact the overall design has had on the game, the Nike Air Force 1 for example, while others seems a little bit more centered on the colorway impact (Yes, the “South Beach” Nike LeBron 8 is on there). If you had to pick out the best sneaker from each individual year going back two and a half decades, which would you select? Complex decided to do that, compiling the results in a feature they’re calling the 25 Best Sneakers of the Past 25 Years. There are some that probably aren’t too debatable (Air Jordan III anyone?), but the list is far from textbook and definitely contains a few left field nods as a Supra is selected and a trail-ready Nike Free model shows up. Get a quick sample from the list after the jump then see Complex for the full feature.

Do you know? Do you know? Do you know? It was Spike Lee who originally uttered those words in reference to the Air Jordan, but we’re posing that question this time around in reference to this year’s 30th birthday sneaker the Nike Air Force 1.
