According to Complex, there’s a list of ten guidelines that all sneakerheads should follow in order to live a better life laced up in leather/mesh/suede/rubber. Yes, near the top are a load of models you will instantly recognize but as the list rounds out it offers up quite the history lesson for the younger sneaker loving crowd. Whether you’re yearning for nostalgia or a 90s baby ready to do the knowledge, the list is an awesome rundown of some footwear that ought not to be forgotten. How many of you spent your childhood days sketching out sneaker designs in your notebook and mailing them off to your favorite company with fingers crossed? If you fit that description then this one’s for you, a contest put on by the folks over at Complex and Creative Recreation in search of the nation’s brightest design talent in the sneaker game. All the participants have to do is whip up some concept drawings of their own silhouette and send them in, with the Complex team already having whittled the field down to five finalists. Yesterday, we gave you a look at the latest Complex compilation, a series of sneaker shots from the illustrious career of Sir Charles Barkley. Chuck’s footwear is pretty serious, but anyone is bound to stand in the shadows when compared to MJ himself. Of course a list including in game shots would be limitless, so Complex has put together this selection of Michael Jordan’s greatest off-court sneaker moments, capturing him in a more casual element. There is of course a murderer’s row of OG Air Jordan models in the mix, but what really stands out are the other Swoosh sneakers the young Michael popped up in throughout the years. Catch him at a press conference rocking OG Nike Air Huarahce’s, or meeting up with some fans in the Nike Air Trainer SC II. Foot Locker x Complex Kicksmas Event Recap

Foot Locker, the biggest retail footwear chain in the world, teamed up with Complex to introduce ‘Kicksmas’, an unofficial holiday of sneaker-giving that truly runs 365 days a year. The event was held at Cabanas in the Chelsea district in New York City, where the lounge/restaurant was decorated with displays showcasing the biggest sneaker releases of the Holiday 2011 season – notably the ‘Black Pack’. Live music was provided by New York’s own DJ Clark Kent, and select attendees were entered into a raffle prize, with the winner receiving the entire Black Pack!
