The last time we heard from the UNDFTD x Converse team-up, it was for the all white collection from their Ballistic Pack. Depending on your post-Labor day rotation those may or may not be a no-no, so here’s a heads up on the blacked out version set to drop next week. Grabbing the Converse Academy Low and the Converse Star Player once again, UNDFTD works their magic on these unassuming models, giving them a tech-feel thanks to the ballistic upgrades. Sneaker News just showed you the ultra-rare Air Jordan IV designed by west coast kings Undefeated, but here’s a new collaboration that you might actually be able to both afford and be able to buy in your size. The UNDFTD x Converse Star Player and Academy Low are the second generation of ‘Ballistic Pack’ releases, this new duo switching from a navy blue base with white and orange accents to white with orange and black hits. These hit the UNDFTD Chapter Stores in August but their ‘un-Halloween’ look means recent shipments arriving at select Converse retailers are well-timed. July brought us the navy blues and now for August, UNDFTD has thrown a white party and the Converse Star Player and Academy are invited. The second set from the Undefeated x Converse Ballistic capsule, these pristine classics offer two radically different approaches to all-white sneakers. The Star Player hightop is almos entirely ballistic nylon, just the tongue and ankle collar done in a tonal tumbled leather. The choice of black, white or orange laces carries over to the tumbled leather Academy lowtop that features a ballistic accent on the eyestay.
