Converse Skateboarding just authored a two-part collabo with Stussy Deluxe, and now we’re starting to see the first in-house designs from their summer collection hit retailers around the country. This trio is equally balanced between old and new, the Converse CTX Ox connecting to that timeless Chuck Taylor lineage with a perfect-for-summer white canvas build. Anthony Pappalardo’s signature goes for a similar sole, but adds grey to the upper for a bit more contrast, while the recently debuted Sergeant Ox stays just as clean in a different corner of the color spectrum with its navy-on-ivory build. Converse Skateboarding has been building serious momentum for a couple years now, and in their latest set of releases, we get the evidence that the success in expanding their footwear lineup has resulted in the ability for new internal organizations. For example, the ‘Form + Function’ collection brings together stripped down versions of classic styles to meet your skating needs, while the ‘Converse Skate Ambassador’ set gives us new colorways from CONS signature riders like Nick Trapasso, Kenny Anderson and Anthony Pappalardo. The Agenda tradeshow series perfectly blends the world of action sports with high end streetwear, so it’s only natural to see skateboarding brands showing off upcoming previews each time the doors open. Agenda New York just closed its doors after a two-day run, Converse Skateboarding among the brands showing its wares at the Chelsea Art Museum. There were two CONS signature models on display, with Kenny Anderson’s KA-One showing up in a mix of rugged canvas twill and tonal suede atop a gum sole and Anthony Pappalardo’s pro model showing the difference between charcoal grey, navy blue and mustard yellow suedes.
