If the Air Jordan4Lab7 ever happens, we have a feeling it would look something like this. The Air Jordan 4 “Bordeaux” isn’t an official release though, but rather a one-off pair from the workshop of Dank Customs. The sneakers not only do an excellent job of appropriating that wine-inspired colorway, they also have the little pendant hit on the back as well as a custom tongue that echoes the jagged shapes of the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux”. Continue reading to get a complete look at this crossover pair of Jordans and tell us what you think down in the comments.

Nike “Patta Gel Max 90″ by Dank Customs

Dank Customs has done it again. And by “it” we mean remixed a Nike Air Max 90 to look like a highly sought-after Asics Gel Lyte III pair. Keep in mind he’s not just bringing the colorway over-he’s also gone so far as to split the tongue in half to give them that true Gel Lyte flavor. The colorway in question is one borrowed from Patta’s GLIII collab that hit back in 2007. The X’ed out lining is left out but that’s made up for by the lace selection, which we can only assume was borrowed from the Patta x Asics Gel Saga creation. See Dank’s work below and give us your two cents on them down in the comments.

We have a feeling that Gucci-symbol bearing Air Jordan III pairs have been produced before, and are probably currently lurking in some dark Canal St. alley. Coming off as much classier is this team up from Dank Customs and Absolelute, which definitely does justice to the luxury theme. More than just a colorway flip, these sneakers feature some pretty impressive lasering that help attach that house’s logo to the upper. Get a more complete look at the sneakers after the break and then tell us in the comments if you’d wear a pair of Gucci Jordans.

Dunk enthusiasts are still patiently waiting for the retail release of DJ Clark Kent’s latest Nike collab-a Nike SB silhouette outfitted with his patented “112″ combination. Apparently this customizer got sick of waiting and decided to create his own version of the sneakers, 3M flash and everything. The Dank Customs creation isn’t a one-to-one copy though, as he slaps on a little Texas logo on the tongue tag to differentiate his pair. Get familiar with Dank Customs’ latest creation below and check back with Sneaker News for release info on the upcoming retail pair.

You know you’ve hit it big as a custom sneaker creator when LeBron James himself selects one of your sneakers for wear during his team’s media day meetings over any of the inline pairs he’s got access to. That’s what happened with King James and the Nike LeBron X Elite “Championship” by Dank Customs, a pair that avoids any wild graphical touches in favorite of a clean, regal colorway paying tribute to his second ring in as many years. See a couple of extra shots below of LeBron sporting Dank’s work and let us know if you’re happy to see NBA players embracing the custom scene like this.

You’ve gotta be a serious Nike Air Max aficionado to have a pair of one of the Nike Air Max 1 “Amsterdam” Hyperstrikes from Parra and Patta in your closet. Heck, if you’ve even seen them in real life then you’re probably reasonably deep in the sneaker game. Borrowing that Danish grocery store inspired colorway is this pair from Dank Customs, which throws on all the Amsterdam detailing and even a bit of Parra art down into the insoles. Continue reading for a better look and then tell us down in the comments if you think that this is a decent homage to the original.

Air Jordan 5 Low “White/Cement” by Dank Customs

Jordans are borrowing from one another more and more often these days between all those Air Jordan 1 hybrids and the about-to-debut “Elements” series. Doing a bit of borrowing of his own is Dank Customs, who pulled the Air Jordan IV “White/Cement” look over onto a WMNS Air Jordan V Low colorway of old. Aside from the speckled midsole treatment, the shoes also git a good bit more black to draw them closer to the Air Jordan 4 aesthetic. See the completed project after the break and stay tuned to see what Dank comes up with next.
