nike lebron 8 black widow customs Nike LeBron 8 Black Widow by Dank Customs

The Nike LeBron 8 was LeBron James’ first shoe following “The Decision”, and hence the sneaker to help him make the transition over to the black and red palette. Adding on to the crop of Miami colored retail releases that fell for that shoe in its initial run is this, a pair from Dank Customs that uses the same shades to different effect. Shown is the Nike LeBron 8 “Black Widow”, a spooky spider pair that sees its titular arachnid stamped onto the ankle collar. See full images of this new pair from Dank Customs and tell us where the Nike LeBron 8 ranks amongst King James’ post-Cavs silhouettes.

In an age where every custom, and nearly every sneaker release at large, seems to be focused on telling a specific story, it’s actually a little refreshing to see a pair just throw on a clean colorway free of theme. This Air Jordan XI Low creation is one of those, a sneaker created by the likes of Dank Customs for rapper Young Scrap. Across the midsole is a blue speckle, one that matches the reworked patent leather mudguard. See extra angles of the shoe just after the jump and stay tuned to see what Dank Customs does next with your favorite footwear silhouette.

JW Danklefs is no stranger to outfitting Nike Air Max 1 silhouettes with hip-hop tributes. Almost a year after we saw him go “Questlove” on the Nike Air Max 1, he has this time transferred the look of Mos Def and Talib Kweli’s now defunct duo Blackstar onto the silhouette. The shoes sport a colorway fading from red to yellow, with just a little bit of green mixed in along with some star-logo tongue tag imagery. Not to mention the two rappers’ likenesses actually show up right there on the insoles. Get all the angles on the Nike Air Max 1 “Black Star” below and tell us if you approve down in the comments.

There aren’t too many states that love the red, white, and blue quite like Texas. Taking advantage of the fact that those colors of our national flag overlap with those of their state flag is this new Nike Air Max 1 joint from Dank Customs. It’s not a mere USA color-up either, the upper puts on some elephant print that may or may not be a little GOP shoutout. Remember when Dank Customs whipped up that low-top version of the Air Jordan XI “Bred”? He follows that up with another low-top version of the Air Jordan XI classic – the iconic “Space Jam” colorway that started a string of singular XI Retro releases in December. This one’s got the iconic XI detailing down to the tee, but in typical fashion, Dank adds a sick touch with the Space Jam movie logo on insoles of the shoes. Definitely an impressive piece to take a gander at, so check out the gallery below and chime in with your opinions in the comments below.

Nike iD was a convenient way to get your own 1-of-1 sneakers without having to look for a proper sneaker customizer, and even today, with such a broad library of available footwear models to customize to your own liking, Nike iD has become more popular than ever. Even sneaker customizers have taken advantage of iD offerings, like with this “Stash” inspiration completed by Dank Customs. Using a pair he created on Nike iD, Dank added a few grey panels, speckling, new laces, and a tongue label from the Air Max 90 “Laser Blue” – a rather efficient way to create a banger of a custom. More below, so take a look and let us know what special iDs you have cooked up in your closet!
