Following up on the Air Jordan II Derek Anderson ‘Home’ PE is this pair that he packed for road games, another Air Jordan II Low featuring the same personal touches. The rich black look draped over the silhouette helps make them just a bit more unique, steering away from the original looks and serving up a ‘Bred’ style that never touched on the Air Jordan II during its first release. Derek Anderson hung up his jersey a couple of years back but his Air Jordan PE legacy still lives on, a couple more pairs from his respectable collection recently popping up. One of them is the Air Jordan II Low shown here, a pair produced in 2004 that was presumably intended for wear as a home pair during his Portland Trail Blazers days. The sneakers sport the ‘Loyal 1′ embroidery, a common detail in Anderson’s pairs, and a white/black/red combo that’s not too far off from the original Air Jordan II fare. kentucky wildcats 2012 alumni game Kentucky Wildcats Alumni Game 2012 Recap

This past Saturday, the University of Kentucky held a past vs. present showdown between the Wildcats’ most recent NBA graduates and the stars of the past. The young squad consisted of up-and-coming stars like Anthony Davis, who wore the Scoring Title KD IV, DeMarcus Cousins, who rocked the ‘Home’ LeBron 9 Kentucky, and Darius Miller, wearing a flashy Orange/Black Zoom KD III. The older alumni featured some retired NBA players like Derek Anderson, who stole the show with the Air Jordan XI Low ‘Concord’ PE, and Tony Delk, wearing the Lunar Hypergamer. The game also featured special celeb guest in Drake (a noted Wildcats fan), who appeared with the Bordeaux VII. We’ve got a nice recap of the event below so take a look and let us know whose kicks deserve the most props!

Air Jordan II Low – Derek Anderson ‘Loyal 1′ PE

The 1997 NBA Draft was one of the more underrated draft classes of our generation, producing future Hall Of Famer Tim Duncan and NBA stars Tracy McGrady and Chauncey Billups. Although it didn’t pan out as well as they’d hoped, the Cleveland Cavaliers were excited about their new youngster backcourt, comprised of Stanford point guard Brevin Knight and Kentucky standout Derek Anderson. Anderson (with his finely trimmed goatee) was later picked up as a Jordan Brand athlete, as made evident by the Air Jordan Player Exclusive he wore throughout his career, like this Air Jordan II Low with ‘Loyal 1′ stitched on the upper. Anderson’s career didn’t exactly live up to the MJ standard (then again, whose did?), but he did manage to take home a championship ring in 2006 as a supporting player with the Miami Heat. Air Jordan V Low – Derek Anderson Miami Heat Home & Away PE’s

air jordan v low da heat pe 02 Air Jordan V Low – Derek Anderson Miami Heat Home & Away PE’s

Derek Anderson and his finely-trimmed goatee were once the earliest members of the Team Jordan list of athletes. The University of Kentucky alumni began his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and earned a reputation as a dependable scorer with a solid all-around game, and during his season with the 2006 NBA Champions Miami Heat, Anderson was the recipient of Player Exclusive colorways of the Air Jordan V Low in White/Varsity Red-Black and and Black/Varsity Red. The ‘Home’ version could be considered as a low-cut version of the original White/Varsity Red-Black colorway, but the ‘Away’ is in a colorway that we’ve never seen in the Air Jordan V before. Another interesting fact is that the Air Jordan V Low was only produced in women’s sizes and it should be noted that Anderson’s PE’s are listed as ‘WMNS’ in the inner tongue label, although these probably are a true Mens size 13. Would you have copped these if a release was made? Check out the detailed shots of both colorways after the jump and to pick up one of the two pairs (or both) of these Jordans, check out the auctions from sole_supreme on eBay.
