HUF and Diamond Supply Cp., two of the more prominent skate-focused apparel labels of our generation, came together for a sick collaboration of footwear and apparel, with the classic “Tiffany” theme running rampantly throughout the entire capsule. Along with tees, 5-panels, and other accessories, the HUF Choice skate-shoe was colored up in the signature Black/Aqua blue, with some sick details like a debossed croc-skin H logo, metallic emblems on the tongue and heel, and a brogue-like detailing on the heel. This is clearly a redux of the classic SB Dunk of 2005, but this is one reworked concept that’ll always have a welcome spot in the sneaker scene. There’s no Freegums sequel in the works as best we can tell, but LeBron James’ MIA retail spot will indeed play host to a sneaker collaboration’s debut again this December. This time, it’s the heel-zipped, kiltie-tassled chukka from Ibn Jasper and Diamond Supply Co., dipped in white as part of the FW12 ‘Miami’ capsule for UNKNWN in conjunction with this year’s Art Basel gathering. Just 75 pairs were made with 50 to launch online Saturday at Noon with the other 25 at UNKNWN Miami at 2pm, and you can see more shots after the jump below.

Best known as the member of Kanye West’s entourage responsible for keeping the G.O.O.D. Music magnate’s hair looking fresh, Ibn Jasper has managed something Mr. West could never seem to do with his Nike Sportswear collabos: keeping a low profile. Jasper’s teamup with LA’s Diamond Supply Co. first surfaced back in spring, and after nary a preview in between, we’re met today with release info for this weekend’s drop. The Diamond Jasper is an ankle-laced, heel-zipped, kiltie-tasseled chukka sneaker in grey, turquoise, black and red snake-embossed suedes, the first two of which will arrive this Saturday, October 20th exclusively at DMND’s Fairfax flagship with the black and reds to follow the next day exclusively at RSVP Gallery in Chicago. All four will also be available online on the 20th, and can be seen in greater detail in more images below.

Nick Diamond of Diamond Supply Co. is undoubtedly responsible for supplying the sneakerhead community with one of the greatest SB Dunks (or sneakers, period) in history. As part of Nike SB’s Team Manager series of 2005, Diamond Supply Co., which sponsored its own skate team, was asked to recreate the Nike SB Dunk with a distinct POV; what resulted was a perfect shoe that mixed the luxurious nature of the ‘diamond’ with the familiar turquoise blue that has been the signature color of one of the world’s leading diamond/jewelry retailers.
The Tiffany SB Dunks to this day continue to be one of the most sought-after SB Dunks out there, but even Nick Diamond needed some special connections to lace up his youngest daughter; the Tiffanys were never released in pre-school sizes, but Nike SB cooked up these PS-sized pairs just for Nick himself (and the newer Nike box shows that these are indeed fresh out of the oven), allowing Nick to lace up his entire clan in ‘Tiffany’ fashion. Another shot of this bite-sized Dunk is just below, so take a look and let us know if you think Nike SB has plans of re-releasing this historic shoe, or perhaps asking Diamond Supply Co. to do a ‘remixed’ version similar to how Supreme finished off its recent SB Dunk release.

Looking for a way to measure how popular Kanye West is right now? This is by no means a scientific measure, but when your personal stylist and barber is in turn sufficiently noteworthy so as to position himself for a collaboration with a burgeoning sneaker brand, suffice to say the rich getting richer has indeed trickled down. Ibn Jasper of Kanye entourage fame has to this point been responsible for a crazy Nike SB Trainer II, but with that pair never making retail, it’s likely that he’ll go down in history for this new collab with Diamond Supply Co. on an ankle-laced chukka that bears his own name along with a texture familiar to those who’ve been following the Air Yeezy 2 buildup. You’d be hard-pressed to find a rapper better suited to wearing a sneaker like Tood Bratrud’s ‘Cheech and Chong’ Dunk High SB than New Orleans’ own Curren$y. The journeyman rapper has just hooked up with Diamond Supply’s burgeoning sneaker line to create a pack suitable for his Smoker’s Club Tour, a set of Vans Sk8-like vulc-soled skate shoes with all-over flower and diamond prints.
