When it comes to the NBA, the Nike LeBron X player exclusives are pretty much limited to the man himself King James. In other leagues though, we’re seeing players get blessed with their own colorups of his latest signature shoe. Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury is the latest player in that realm, on who has been given a “home” and “away” version of the shoe to go with her Phoenix Mercury jersey. Now that this precedent has been set, is there any chance that we will see her transition to some Elite versions come the post-season? Continue reading for the shots of the Nike LeBron X Diana Taurasi PEs below and tell us in the comments if you like what you see.

USA Men’s Basketball members LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Coach K provided us with some insight behind the preparation behind international play and Nike products that help them achieve their goal, but the Men might have a thing or two to learn from the Women. The standout veterans of USA Women’s Basketball, like Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings, and Coach Geno Auriemma, gave their side of Team USA pride and competition as well, so check out the video below for Insider Access to USA Women’s Basketball and keep an eye out for the ladies of Team USA to bring home the Gold once again!

With two WNBA Championship rings, a league MVP, a Finals MVP, and two Olympic Gold medals, Diana Taurasi is already a first-ballot Basketball Hall of Fame entrant – and she’s still under 30. But is she the LeBron James of the WNBA? She’s got the size and athleticism on top of her winning pedigree, and her collection of the LeBron 9 Player Exclusives certainly gives her that distinction of being the best in her league. We recently showed you a simple White/Red USAB PE of the LeBron 9, but here’s a look at what Taurasi will wear during the 2012 WNBA Season; it’s got the simple white base with a light grey upper and hints of purple and orange to match the Phoenix Mercury crest. The question is: does Taurasi deserve her own Nike signature shoe? Check out additional angles of Taurasi’s kicks below and let us know if you think it’s time Nike gives this women’s basketball superstar a shoe to call her own. Photos: lrj23

Is Diana Taurasi the ‘LeBron James’ of the WNBA/women’s basketball? It’s hard to say that another version of LBJ exists in another sport (maybe Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals, although Cole Hamels might not think so), but Diana Taurasi was poised to change the WNBA and carry the torch with her legacy as a winner in UConn and has accomplished all that she can thus far, winning a WNBA Title and Finals MVP as well as earning a league MVP and a consistent flow of yearly accolades. Taurasi, however, has been doing her best LeBron impression on-court as her Player Exclusives of LeBrons have been one of the more hard-to-find collectibles, even for the most hardcore of LeBron hoarders. Her latest LeBron PE comes in Team USA colors, as she and her fellow American femme-ballers are touring around and playing exhibition games (USAB just dismantled China by the score of 100-62). More of Diana’s LeBrons after the jump! Photos: yahoo

Diana Taruasi has seen a number of Nike LeBron player exclusive colorways over the years, a pair of her Air Max LeBron VIIs selling at auction for over three grand last summer. That costly pair came in the classic pink-n-shrink that typified ladies sneakers for so many years, but her latest seems a better fit with the overall purpose and tone of the WNBA. These Nike LeBron 8 V2 PEs perfectly match Diana’s Phoenix Mercury home uniforms, their purple Flywire strands and select orange hits leaving us wondering if there’s anything else wild like this left in the LeBron 8 lineup. Click through to see more angles and let us know how these compare to LeBron James’ own player exclusive colorways. via LRJ23
