Complex TV’s Quickstrike is winding down for this inaugural season, with a finale in the works for May 31st. So for the time being, make sure you savor every bit of content coming from the show hosted by Russ and Clark. This time around they talk about the curious “OG” moniker slapped on to some sneakers by the companies that produce them, the plight of resellers, and the pending release of the Air Jordan VIII “Suns”. Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke “Lottery Ticket”

The whole “What The” concept is one we’ve seen spread to a ton of sneakers by now. The mash-up theme, originally hitting on the Nike SB Dunk Low, is one we’ve seen come from the NIKE iD scene a few times as well. Here’s one of those, a Nike Air Force 1 Low from the supreme Bespoke level of customization created by DJ Clark Kent and featured in the film Lottery Ticket. Fila Grant Hill II “Knicks”

The Fila Grant Hill II continues to get dressed up in that classic New York combination of orange and blue. This latest version, another that unfortunately isn’t slated for a retail release, is one cooked up as a gift for DJ Clark Kent. The Knicks-loving sneaker extraordinaire has of course had his hands in plenty of sneaker designs for various brands of the years, but these in particular were a gift from a brand and not a collaboration (confirmed by Clark himself). That man is Spike Lee, who sits down with both Russ and Clark to discuss his history with the Jordan Brand and how he managed to wrangle his own silhouette out of the team. The hosts also touch on the hot-button issue of free sneakers and the jealousy-inducing hierarchy of product seeding.
