Halfway around the globe, New York City-based cultural influencers DJ Clark Kent and photographer Jonathon Mannion, who were in town for Mannion’s photo retrospective at Stussy Japan, stopped by Nike Harajuku for some overseas Nike iD sessions. As expected, DJ Clark Kent selected the Nike Air Force 1 Low, while Mannion went on the experimental offensive and selected the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse – one of Nike iD’s most recent inclusions. Another item to note is the apparel worn by the guests of honor; Clark rocked a throwback Nolan Ryan Astros jersey, while Mannion proudly wore the Stussy x Lafayette t-shirt that was made specifically for the gallery event. Check out the entire Nike iD experience below and let us know what you think. via FRESHNESS.

The only way the non-VIP public can get their hands on a pair of unreleased, Friends-and-Family LeBron PEs is if one of the original recipients inexplicably decides to let them go. We all know the Nike LeBron (particularly the Air Max-cushioned VII and current eighth model) were made a ton of ‘special edition’ colorways, like DJ Clark Kent’s ‘looks good on everything’ 112 motif. The luscious mix of black/grey tones with the piercing volt and the historic elephant print gives any shoe a proper facelift, but the unfortunate nature of these kicks is that these never did become available for purchase. That is, until now, when one lucky owner made the decision to pass on his prized possession to one sneakerhead willing to part ways with a fat wad of cash. The current bidding price eclipses even the unbelievable average selling price of the LeBron 8 ‘South Beach’ (but does look paltry compared to the tens of thousands of dollars that someone put on this Nike Mag 2011 shoe, but if you’re interested nonetheless, check out the auction from sellbuysellnow on eBay.

Though not exactly an ‘original’ colorway, DJ Clark Kent‘s ’112′ motif was brought to life when he was given the great opportunity to colorize a ‘Ones’ Pack, which featured the Air Force 1, Air Max 1, and Air Trainer 1 in a mind-boggling colorway of Grey/Neon with bountiful portions of elephant print and 3M reflective material. It’s one of those dream colorways that sneakerheads can only wish for, but Clark, a sneakerhead himself, made one for the people and created an instant classic. The LeBron 8′s been one of Clark’s favorites (at least he’s showing them off the most), and his Nike LeBron 8 ’112′ made some noteworthy headlines here on Sneaker News when it was first broadcast earlier this week. Now we know that Queens-native BMX-rider Nigel Sylvester owns a pair, because Clark himself gave him his own last night during Sylvester’s G-Shock party. Check out the extra shot of this sick new colorway below and let us know if this is the best ’112′ sneaker to date. via NT.

Denim material is typically reserved for lifestyle shoes (the Air Force 1 Low Premium being a great example). It’s not exactly a breathable material (unless you’re ‘that guy’ who plays ball in Levi’s), but as high-tech a shoe as the LeBron 8 is, it’s worn on the streets as much as it is on the court. Here’s a detailed look at the Nike LeBron 8 ‘Denim’, designed by Nike LeBron connoisseur DJ Clark Kent; it features an unusual blocking on the upper, as only the forefoot Flywire panel is covered in denim. The gum/gold accents are a nice touch as well, adding that rustic, classic-American appeal. Would you cop if these released? Take a look below and let us know what you think of the Denim-uppered LeBron 8. via lilpennymagicfan on ISS.

Just yesterday Sneaker News gave you a look at the Nike LeBron 8 ‘Denim’ sample, which featured a full denim upper with gold contrast stitching. We also learned that this sample was designed by none other than celebrity sneaker aficionado and Nike LeBron sample extraordinaire DJ Clark Kent. Here we have a first look at the entire shoe, and as you can see, the denim material is used on the entire upper except for the rear Flywire panel. The gum outsole gives this classic American fashion inspired LeBron 8 an even more vintage look – almost like the jeans-and-Timbs appeal. Take a look below and let us know if you’d cop these if they ever released! via Air_Andy.

DJ Clark Kent has just given us our first look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low Hyperfuse in a blue/yellow/white colorway that he describes as ‘Absolute Craziness’. It features the multi-layered Hyperfuse upper (opposed to the tonal colorways we’ve seen on the Air Force 1 High Hyperfuse releases) with a solid white outsole and a black inner lining. We haven’t seen a release for these just yet, but with all the Nike Sportswear Hyperfuse releases dropping this month, you can expect more colorways of the Air Force 1 Low Hyperfuse to surface soon. Will they pop up on Nike iD on as well? We’ll have to wait and see, but for now, check out the extra images below and let us know what you think.
