DWYANE WADE Dwyane Wade is a Jordan Brand athlete. He has his own signature line of sneakers called the Jordan Fly Wade. Dwyane Wade currently plays for the Miami Heat and played college basketball at Marquette.

So who’s the King of Miami? With a longer reign and one Championship ring under his belt, that title goes to Dwyane Wade (sorry, LeBron). Checking in this Summer is the all-new Jordan D’Reign - a new model derived from the design concept of the Jordan Fly Wade 2. However, you won’t find the Lunarlon heel or the carbon fiber plate that extends three-fourths of the entire footbed, but an ample replacement with XDR rubber for outdoor play – something quite common in Asia-exclusive take-down models. Will this hit retailers in the States? Check out these new images of the White/Varsity Red-Black colorway and we’ll keep you posted if these pop up anywhere in North America.

Even though his Fly Wade 2 EV no longer carries the ‘PO’ suffix, they do indeed appear poised as Dwyane Wade‘s playoff sneakers of choice, so what about the upcoming Jordan D’Reign? This model finds itself somewhere between the Fly Wade series and classic dress shoe-inspired Air Jordan aesthetics thanks to the triple-stitched wingtip-like patent leather toe, a premium look that suggests they’re fit to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy. But this colorway will more likely end up one of the stars of summer streetball than a key player in the NBA Playoffs; will you grab a pair of this XDR-soled sneaker for your blacktop basketball exploits when they drop in the coming months? Let us know what you think of the Wade D’Reign when you click through to see more images and stick with Sneaker News for release info.

Apparently Gilbert Arenas’ return to the NBA sparked a ‘stepping up’ of the sneaker games around the NBA, so let’s get to some of the big highlights of the weekend! Starting off with Air Jordan heat, Jordan Crawford of the Wizards rocked the Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’ – a current Final Four contestant in our March Madness tournament. Shannon Brown swapped Last Shots for the Black/Cement III, and Kendrick Perkins opted for the Chicago X. Monta Ellis whipped out the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ for another go-around, Delonte West followed his Galaxy with the Air Max Uptempo 2 ‘Duke’ yet again, and Dwyane Wade rocked a new PE colorway of the upcoming Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV, previously referred to as the Jordan Fly Wade Flight PO. More on this weekend’s best NBA kicks below, so take a look and let us know who ya got! via espn

Dwyane Wade recently debuted the Jordan Fly Wade Flight PO during last Friday’s game against the Detroit Pistons, when he wrote some tributary messages in memory of the slain Trayvon Martin. As we got a good look at the Fly Wade Flight PO, we noticed that the shoe appeared to have a sportier, more ‘tech’-y vibe than the more luxurious Jordan Fly Wade 2, and that’s solely because of the visible Flywire cables. Serving as much of an aesthetic purpose as it does a structural one, Flywire gives an instant boost to a sneaker in terms of design, lightweight capabilities, and stability. Just yesterday, Wade rocked a White/Black/Red colorway of the Fly Wade Flight PO – a model that will make its retail debut in mid-late April. Check out some of the in-game shots of the this new colorway and stick with Sneaker News for more updates. via espn

The news of the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin hits close to home – for other 17-year-olds, for mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and friends. But the fact that Martin’s killer is yet to be arrested has marked this already tragic event with anger, confusion, and bitterness, spreading worldwide as more than a story of death, but about a flawed legal system that would allow a murderer to walk free (while arresting someone for throwing flour at Kim Kardashian). Trayvon’s story has grasped the attention of a number of notable individuals worldwide, and Dwyane Wade and LeBron James showed their support by writing respectful quotes like “RIP Trayvon Martin” and “We Want Justice” on their sneakers during their Friday-night game against the Pistons.
The entire Miami Heat team also came together for a photo, with each player donning a hoodie – a garment that has become an iconic piece of imagery and a display of support, much like a LIVESTRONG wristband or a pink ribbon. Other NBA stars showed their “hoodie” support as well; Carmelo Anthony and Steve Nash tweeted pictures of themselves while Amare Stoudemire spent the entire pre-game shootaround on Friday – with the hood on – to pay his respects. With Trayvon’s story becoming one of the top headlines in the nation and thousands of supporters voicing their concern through petitions and rallies, we hope a swift act of justice comes soon.

Apparently the NBA heard us loud and clear when we said the NCAA boys have the NBA ballers clearly beat in the ‘Feet’ category, but this weekend’s collection of sneakers might flip that script. Starting off with Monta Ellis’ Air Jordan ‘Bred’ display, we caught a slew of awesome Air Jordans, Nike Basketball PEs, and St. Patty’s Day PEs that stole the spotlight from the Second Round of NCAA Tourney games. Josh Howard wore a White/Green PE of the Air Jordan XIII that was identical to the Ray Allen PE – with the exception of the ‘Ray’ logo on the tongue. Nate Robinson and Jared Jeffries wore the Air Jordan X ‘Stealth’, while a couple of Knickerbockers sported some awesome St. Patty’s digs – namely Carmelo’s Melo M8 and Mike Bibby repping the Jordan CP3.V. Amare Stoudemire and DeMarcus Cousins rocked their All-Star Game ‘Galaxy’ PEs, Ty Lawson got his ‘Dunkman’ on, and Kobe swapped out of the ‘Attack Strong’ insole for his Kobe VII ‘Lakers’. We’ve got an immense attack of NBA Feet below so take a good look and let us know who rocked the best kicks! via Yahoo

For two games in a row, Dwyane Wade chose to set aside his Fly Wade 2 signatures in favor of the Air Jordan XIV – the shoe that Michael managed to make supremely iconic with a single jump-shot. Wade did his best ‘Last Shot’ impression during the last game by hitting a game-winner in OT in the White/Red colorway, but he didn’t have the same fortune during last night’s intra-Florida match-up against the Orlando Magic. While wearing the Air Jordan XIV ‘Last Shot’, Wade put a Jordan-esque 28 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, but opponent Dwight Howard simply had the better game. In any case, Wade certainly wins the night’s sneaker battle with his Air Jordans, so check out Wade in the Last Shot XIV after the jump and let us know what you think. via Yahoo

The introduction of Flywire technology to Jordan Brand performance models was certainly an ‘advancement’ of sorts – just take note of the Jordan Melo M7 Advance that debuted last Summer. Flywire certainly adds a level of weightless stability and visual appeal, and the upgrade that the Jordan Fly Wade 2 will receive will only elevate the Wade 2 to higher heights as it is already considered to be one of the best performance basketball sneakers of this season. The Jordan Fly Wade 2 upper is comprised of a Hyperfuse shell with perforations, but this altered version called the Jordan Fly Wade Flight PO ‘Playoff’, provides all the unparalleled advantages of Flywire while giving the Fly Wade 2 an alternative visual appeal. You can expect the Jordan Fly Wade Flight PO to arrive during this April 18th at an MSRP of $145, so check below for complete angles for this new Fly Wade model and let us know what you think. via hoopchina
