The Air Jordan III has been polar affair in 2013, offering up true-to-OG recreations like the ’88 version along with brand new colorways like the “Joker” and “Bright Crimson”. The last of those has been one of the more readily acquirable versions, meaning that it’s been made to undergo the custom process a bit more frequently than its relatives. Pictured is the latest remix, a sunburnt take on the shoe from Ecentrik Artistry. Continue reading to get a more complete look at his summery take on MJ’s third sneaker and give us your reactions down in the comments section.

The recent 2013 Retro releases offered up quite a dilemma – Grapes, Black Grapes, or both? It would be much more difficult if a third option was thrown into the mix, like this “Extra Grape” custom put forth by Ecentrik Artistry. These are almost like an “Alternate” to the Home and Away colors we typically see in sports teams, with EA taking up a tonal purple upper with a purpled-out netting on the upper. Since we saw Supreme team up with Nike SB again last year to reprise their epic Dunk series, is there any chance that some of the other most coveted of SB collabs could get remixed? If fans had their way we’re sure that the Nike SB Dunk Low “Tiffany” would be at the top of the list for sneakers to get the sideways retro treatment. Until then, the custom scene remains obsessed with colorway, as prove most recently by the Air Jordan VI “Tiffany” on display here, which comes complete with a little diamond logo attached. See the full pair from Ecentrik Artistry after the jump.

nike air max 90 coffee donuts customs by ecentrik artistry Nike Air Max 90 Coffee & Donuts Customs by Ecentrik Artistry

The last time we saw some donut accenting on a custom sneaker was a Homer Simpson tribute from a few years back. This time around Ecentrik Artistry whips up a wink and nod homage to Dunkin Donuts with this sugary pair of the Nike Air Max 90. Both sneakers sport a combo of magenta and buttercup, with a dripping, frosty look on the mudguard and two separate icons showing up on the back badge in place of the typical ‘Air Max’ hit. Continue reading for a more complete look at the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Coffee and Donuts’ customs, which come complete with their own donut shoe box, and then pick up yours from Ecentrik Artistry.

Air Jordan IV “South Beach” Customs by Ecentrik Artistry

air jordan iv south beach customs 1 Air Jordan IV South Beach Customs by Ecentrik Artistry

The ‘South Beach’ concept has officially been laid to rest by Nike, although the recent LeBron X iD options left the shoe conducive to a near-exact replica of the LeBron 8 original. By now, ‘South Beach’ has been done each and every way possible, but not like this; Ecentrik Artistry takes the much-used South Beach one-two punch of teal and pink and adds in some  distinction with the predominantly light blue upper. Your thoughts on this spin on South Beach on the Jordan IV? Check out the gallery below and chime in with your comments.

Nike Air Max 90 ‘Appetite for Destruction’ Custom by Ecentrik

Sneaker News profiled customizer Ecentrik’s ’Tropical Sunset’ Air Force 1 Low customs during the peak of summer, and though it’s a different model entirely, the one pictured above is indeed closely related to another custom AF1 from the same artist.  It was about eighteen months earlier that Ecentrik made a simple white/blue Uptown into a replica of the legendary ‘Playstation’ AF1, and it was with that base of gradient application that he reached out for this colorway appropriation.  The Nike Air Max 90 ’Appetite for Destruction’ custom takes its look and feel from March 2008′s Dunk Low Pro SB by that same name, its color scheme borrowed from Guns and Roses’ 1987 opus.  This custom job is on point, even amplifying the GnR Dunk Low’s colorful accents thanks to the AM90s lines providing a sizeable yet segregated section of black right through the middle.  Click through to see more angles and let us know how these compare to the other color-swap customs we’ve seen in recent months.

Sneakerhead culture has expanded in part due to the growing array of limited edition releases that allow early adopters to be the first and perhaps only person on the block with a certain fresh pair.  This demand for unique designs has also led to an expansion in the custom sneaker scene, where new high-quality handiworks are becoming so common Sneaker News has brought you a few ‘battles’ comparing the best in recent weeks.  Would Ecentrik Artistry‘s ‘Tropical Sunset’ Nike Air Force 1 Low customs have what it takes to compete with the best of those?  This custom Uptown offers its own take on ‘South Beach’ with a colorway closer to the ‘Orange County’ Zoom Kobe VI depicting a oceanside skyline complete with palm trees, sea gulls and a setting sun.  Click through to see more and let us know how you feel about the Air Force 1 ‘Tropical Sunset’ custom. via PaintOrThread
