If only Jordan Brand released a special collection of Air Jordans built with supreme materials in outstanding colorways…oh wait! It did. It’s been a while since we last saw a ‘Premio’ release (roughly two years ago), but leave it up to the game’s best sneaker customizers to give Retros some incredible new life because Emmanuelabor just hit us with some teaser shots of an Air Jordan XIII ‘Cork’ project. Clearly taking inspiration from the Nike LeBron X ‘Cork’, this amazing sneaker custom features cork material on the upper with brown leather on the tongue and toe-box with a rich light-brown suede on the midsole. Air Jordan IV “Command Force” Customs by Emmanuelabor

The “A meets B” trend of custom sneakers shines through once again as Emmanuelabor hits us with this amazing Air Jordan IV inspired by the Air Command Force. He adopts the unique colorway by adding the bright Volt hints on the midsole and plastic wing, but the impressive detail is undoubtedly the pump module embedded into the tongue (a cosmetic upgrade) and the ribbed plastic piece that replaced the upper netting. It seems like a pretty nice hybrid considering the IV and the Command Force share some similar details as they sorta fall in the same era of Nike Basketball, but how’s the execution? Air Jordan III “Python Supreme” Customs by EmmanueLabor

So much has been said and yet words can only do so much to express (our gratitude for) the brilliance of Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan III. One way of understanding how much it means to sneakerheads is examining how many custom jobs have been attempted on its familiar lines, the latest of which utilizes one of the year’s most popular textures to wedge itself into the top of the custom AJ3 power rankings. Emmanuelabor’s ’Python Supreme’ Air Jordan 3 turns one of the leather styles into another jungle animal by way of the designer’s more “exorbitant” take on the recent AJ3-channeling Supreme Dunk Low SBs. One might guess these were built from the ‘True Blue’ based on the Elephant eyestay, but given the unprecedented addition of that famed print on the collar, you could just as easily point to ‘White Cement’ for its ‘blank’-ness. This new Air Jordan IV ’Wheaties‘ custom by Emmanuelabor goes the extra mile by not only matching perfectly a classic General Mills cereal box with its colorway, but also replacing two of the AJ4′s signature elements with actual foodstuffs (genuine Wheaties, but an unnamed milk substitute). Nike Air Force 1 Low ’4/20 Prescription Bottle’ Customs by emmanueLabor

You know by now that Nike’s not afraid to take a walk on the wild side with their themed sneaks, making the 4/20 Nike SB drop a yearly tradition at this point. They played it pretty safe this year with this low-key Nike SB Stefan Janoski so we’re taking you back to this unseen emmaneuLabor custom piece from last year that does the herbal inspiration justice, aiming for the translucent orange pill bottle look familiar to anyone who partakes in this medicine. The upper of the sneaks are done in gold canvas with a see through layer of vinyl over the top to complete the amber look. Nike LeBron 9 ‘Black/Cement’ Customs by EmmanueLabor

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Zoom Kobe VI specialist Emmanuelabor come onto the scene with a new custom sneaker design, but his latest seems to have been worth every second of the wait. This Nike LeBron 9 ’Black Cement’ custom takes a page from the LeBron 9 iD ‘Foamposite’, borrowing one of the most recognizable basketball sneaker design cues for its side panels. These nail the black, Cement Grey and Varsity Red color scheme made famous on Michael Jordan’s feet, but don’t they just make you want IIIs with ‘NIKE AIR’ on the heel even more?! Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Aquamamba’ Customs by Emmanuelabor

Sneaker News recently showed you an Air Jordan III done up with Nike Zoom Kobe VI-inspired detailing, but almost everyone outside the Los Angeles megalopolis would agree, any such custom ‘should’ be the contemporary nodding in respect toward the trailblazer. And that’s what you get with the latest work from Emmanuelabor, a Nike Zoom Kobe VI iD turned ‘Aquamamba’ thanks to the inclusion of the ‘Aqua’ Air Jordan VIII’s signature streaking along the ZK6′s Swoosh and heel. Going with a NIKEiD base allowed for ‘AQUA’ embroidery on the inner tongue and a translucent outsole; would you like to see the latter on an AJVIII Retro+, or perhaps on the Air Jordan 8.0?
