The UNC goodies keep on coming. Following up yesterday’s awesome PE pair of Air Jordan IVs for the players still at the school, we’ve now got a look at a pair whipped up for an alum of the university. Jerry Stackhouse is the man in question, who sees his Fila Stackhouse sneaker updated with a combination of baby blue and white. The throwback colorway should be on feet for Stack tomorrow night during the Nets’ final game of the season. Jerry Stackhouse will be heading back to Philadelphia tonight, revisiting the city that he first called home during his long NBA career. The moment will be marked, like so many others since the recent Fila revival, by some special footwear for Mr. Stackhouse. That would be a “Philly” colored version of the Fila Stackhouse, one that nails the OG look in terms of colors while bringing in a premium leather upper for this go-round. Folks seem to be fiending for FILA at the moment-all you’ve gotta do is take a look at the release of the recent Fila ’96 to see that. Next up to resurface from their back catalog of basketball sneakers is the Fila Stackhouse (aka Spaghetti). The two colorways up for grabs now both line up with Stackhouse’ current home out in Brooklyn. Most of the Yankees fans out there had a rough day today as the squad opened up the season with a loss to Boston. Jerry Stackhouse, a strong supporter of the team, had something to brighten up his day regardless-this player exclusive pair of his revived Fila Stackhouse sneaker. As you can see, the pair picks up on the same navy tones that anchor the Yankee’s unis, and is built with an all leather body for the upper save for the mesh tongue. Is the Fila Stackhouse the most exciting of retros on the horizon from the Fila team? It’s certainly got an interesting story involved what with Stackhouse actually wearing the sneakers on a regular basis with the Brooklyn Nets. On top of that, the Nets have now locked up a 2013 playoffs birth, so there’s plenty more for Fila to play with on the model. Before that we’ll see these straightforward Nets looks releasing on April 4th, 2013 at spots like Atmos, Burn Rubber, Flykix, Hungry Hooligans, Packer, Puffer Reds, Rime NYC, Sneaker Junkies, Ubiq, and Wish. The upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday will see some special sneakers hit the NBA court. Jerry Stackhouse of the Brooklyn Nets will be lacing up in this very special version of his recently revived FILA Stackhouse silhouette. The one of one PEs featuring a clean green and white colorway, along with some personal “JS” and “42″ embroidery on the back end that has a little bit of a Celtic knot look to it. Along with the Fila ‘OG Black Pack’ we recently gave you heads up on, there are a number of other Fila styles that are on their way that you should be aware of. The Fila Cage, Fila 96, and the Fila F-13 from said group will also be arriving in an ‘OG White Pack’ (Release date March 21st), which aims for a white base and brings in a few bits of red and blue. Also impacting in the near future is the Fila Spaghetti (aka Stackhouse), which can be had as of April 4th. With the Question and Ewings making a huge splash in 2012, does the Fila Stackhouse have the chops to make the same noise? Fila is poised to bring back the Stackhouse as well as the ’96 Grant Hills, and recently Stack has been wearing his own rotation of Stackhouse Retros like this sick Grey Camo PE. It features a multi-greyscale upper with the signature camo print on the outsole, matching perfectly with the monotone Brooklyn Nets unis.
