nike foamposite release confirmed for all star 2013 1 570x417 Foamposite Release Confirmed for NBA All Star 2013

The ‘Galaxy’ Nike Air Foamposite One release from this year was a huge one by all accounts, whipping up the Foam frenzy to previously unseen levels. It looks like that just might be a yearly tradition, with Nike Sportswear lead man Gentry Humphrey recently confirming that next year’s NBA All-Star pack of sneakers will have a Foamposite model included. His comments were kept pretty vague, so there’s no telling whether or not it will be an original Penny model or perhaps a new era design like the Nike Air Max Hyperposite. nike air yeezy 2 possible third colorway in the works 1 Nike Air Yeezy 2 Potential Third Colorway In the Works

Mache’s Nike Air Yeezy 2 custom recently reminded us that around the time of release for that event sneaker, there was plenty of talk circulating about that Kobe-looking scheme being a third retail colorway. It appears that that’s not entirely out of the question, Nike arbiter Gentry Humphrey leaking out some info on the possibility via Twitter and assuring one inquisitive sneakerhead that things are “still in the works” for the Air Yeezy 2. Click through for a look at the convo and let us know in the comments below if you anticipate such a release being the ‘Kobe’ colored one or a Nike Air Yeezy 2 look that we’ve never seen before – if it happens at all, that is. You know we’ll keep you posted on any further developments.

Nike Air Penny V “Red Eagle”

Placerville, CA’s Red Hawk Casino is famous for its penny slot jackpots, a symbol of the kind of once-in-a-lifetime luck the Orlando Magic struck in 1993 when they followed up the previous season’s #1 pick of Shaquille O’Neil with the Robin to his Batman.  Or was that ‘Lil Penny to his Superman?  An even lil-er Penny Hardaway made his way to O-Town by way of Memphis, TN, both its university and the public school system responsible for the Treadwell High School Eagles.  This new Nike Air Penny V ’Red Eagle’ brings us back to Anfernee’s alma mater, the Birthplace of Rock n Roll and the home of Treadwell’s Eagles who give the shoe its aggressive colorway.  Nike Sportswear head Gentry Humphrey was on hand at the recent Shanghai Nike Festival of Sport event to show off this ‘Red Eagle’ Penny V and you can see more images after the jump below.  Let us know which colorway is best as we approach the debut drop and stick with Sneaker News for all the US release dates.

Air Jordan IV “G-Money” Gentry Humphrey PE

When images of a never before seen Air Jordan IV colorway popped up last week on the feet of former Jordan Brand head honcho, Gentry Humphrey, the sneaker world was abuzz with rumors and speculation on the origin of the shoe. Gentry was spotted wearing the mysterious IV’s at this year’s Quai 54 Tournament in Paris, but actual details on the shoe itself were scarce. Sneaker News did some digging for the story, and it turns out that this pair was one in a series of special PE’s created exclusively for Gentry as a going away/thank you gift for all his years of hard work and dedication in helping JB grow to be a billion dollar company, before leaving for his new role at Nike Sportswear. As a play on the way Spike used to call MJ, “Money”, in the classic Mars Blackmon ads, Gentry’s success with Jordan Brand eventually landed him the nickname “G-Money” from the JB team. To further tie in the Spike reference, this pair was created as a nod to the “Mars” Air Jordan IV with a “G$” cartoon version of Gentry replacing the Spike graphic. Get a better look after the jump, because who knows if and when we’ll ever see them again. Photos: Dem’d

Air Jordan IV “Gentry”

With Gentry Humphrey switching over into a leadership role at Nike Sportswear, you’d think his endless stream of Air Jordan exclusives would start to dry up at some point right? Apparently not, as the man still has some tricks up his sleeve like this never before seen Air Jordan IV. The pair, apparently spotted on feet of Gentry at the weekend’s Quai 54 International Streetball Tournament, has a sort of Year of the Rabbit look to it mixing in sections of white, gold, and red. Even more interesting is the personalized Gentry logo, looking like a riff off the Mars hit that we’ve seen on the Air Jordan IV once before. We gave you the heads up this week that a black based Nike Air Foamposite One is on its way for the Holiday season, so is that what we’re seeing here? Gentry Humphrey posted this photo showing off some recent wears (notice the bold Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 thrown in the mix) with a Foam shown that seems to match up with December’s scheduled colorway (Black/Medium Grey-Black) – one that he calls ‘Stealth’. The upper is a pretty dark affair with the bottom half getting the standard icy treatment along with a grey One-Cent logo hit. Stay tuned with us when more photos surface for word on whether this Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Stealth’ is indeed the retail version or just another sample in Gentry’s vault.

Longtime keeper of the keys at Jordan Brand and recent Nike Sportswear transplant Gentry Humphrey has been known to stay around some slick samples, most recently being the first to show up with the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Galaxy’ before we could even dream of the chaos sparked by their retail release. His recent entry into the Twitter-verse has him letting go some more looks at unreleased sneaks, with this picture showing off an alternate version of the Air Jordan IV ‘Laser’ that is a bit more whited out to an almost ‘History of Flight’ looking end. Are we looking at a possible upcoming release, since 2012 is the ‘Year of the IV’? Click through for the full shot and let us know in the comments if you prefer this alternate Air Jordan IV to the retail pair, and we’ll keep you updated.
