Gourmet Quattro Skate – Upcoming Colorways

2011321859026891 Gourmet Quattro Skate Upcoming Colorways

The Gourmet Quattro does a great job of bridging the brand’s Air Jordan-inspired beginnings with their status as growing into one of the more pleasing lifestyle sneaker catalogs in the industry.  And just like Nike before them branching out into the skate market with the classic Dunk basketball silhouette, Gourmet has been able to translate the AJXII-derived Quattro hightop into a skate model.  This sleight of foot has also transformed the silhouette sufficiently that the Quattro Skate now borrows even more like the Twelve’s signature mudguard panels, mutating this asymmetrical look into a well-placed ollie protection area.  Two new tonal suede and tumbled leather pairs have added translucent outsoles and await your click on the jump below, so have a better look at red and brown pairs and let us know which ones you prefer.  via Dunk

Gourmet The 35 – Available

gourmet the 35 Gourmet The 35 Available

Gourmet has been taking more of an innovative if Frankenstein-y approach to their lifestyle sneaker offerings of late, but even if the reference is not as easily identifiable as their Air Jordan-inspired looks, this new model bears an resemblance to a couple classics in their own right.  The new Gourmet 35 manages a subtle sophistication with its mesh and leather construction, an impressive feat considering they’re loosely based on early ’90s models like the Reebok Pump Omni Lite and Puma Blaze of Glory.  That signature swooping side panel offers a nice contrast on Honey brown and tonal black pairs that are available right now at the Gourmet e-Store.

When historians discuss Gourmet footwear’s early years, they’ll likely discuss the brand in terms of distinct phases concerning its design leanings and naming conventions.  Not for nothing, this brand got started by jacking Air Jordan silhouettes and lifestyling them, but these early Italian-numbered joints were just a precursor to their identity as masters of hybridization.  Recent drops come with number-names that are a bit easier for US sneakerheads to identify with and in the new Gourmet 32, we get more than a few familiar design elements.  These joints mix the chukka style that’s become so popular in recent years with an Air Max-style cushion and their premium leather construction means you can slip by bouncers undetected.  Click through to see two different tonal brown colorways and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.  via Dunk
