HUF rider of some two years Joey Pepper is ready for his signature sneaker. The model, known as the HUF Pepper Pro, is a low-key silhouette that Joey played a pretty big role in designing-despite not coming from any sort of design background. The vulcanized affair is toughened up by an extra toe-wrap around the front and reinforced ollie-panels to give them some extra life through the daily wear and tear of skating. HUF released a Team Signature quartet last October, a move that in retrospect, foreshadowed the arrival of their first dedicated pro model. The HUF Joey Pepper follows up on the Expedition rider’s Southern makeup with a lowtop silhouette reminiscent of the Vans Sk8 series. The side panel belting also reflects the influence of Off the Wall’s Standard Issue Sk8s; are these four classically styled suede colorups enough to pull your attention from the global skate leader?
