JEREMY LIN Jeremy Lin is an NBA athlete who quickly went from being a bench player to an international sensation for the New York Knicks in the early part of 2012. Once ‘Linsanity’ begun Lin’s jersey immediately became one of the fastest selling of all NBA players, with Nike quickly reacting with a string of Lin inspired sneakers.

Jeremy Lin’s rise to stardom can be compared to a winding up-hill climb rather than a straight shot to the top, but surely the ending is much sweeter when it’s reached via the road less traveled. Undrafted by thirty NBA teams, waived twice, sent down for a ‘tune-up’ in the NBDL, and finally given some burn after the New York Knicks exhausted all their PG options is as much as you can cram into the Jeremy Lin nutshell, but nobody could have predicted the Linsanity that spilled out once that hard shell was cracked open. Lin isn’t just playing ‘well’ – he’s putting up elite numbers that have opposing coaches scrambling for revised defensive game plans to contain the speedy guard, and so far, six out of six teams (and counting) have failed at that task.

Upon entering the NBA in 2010, Nike hand-picked the Taiwanese-American to join its roster of athletes, signing him to a three-year deal for his potential as an intercontinental ambassador for the game; Nike quickly employed his talents by touring him around Taiwan for basketball clinics and tapping his dribbling skills for this Nike Basketball Pro Drills video, which was likely recorded during the most recent off-season. Wearing the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011, Lin shows off his ‘Lin-sane’ two-handed dribbling skills – something that Deron, Devin, Derek, John, Ricky, and Jose have witnessed firsthand – while speaking on the benefits of the tricky exercise. It’s likely that not even Nike anticipated the astounding heights of ‘Linsanity’, but this just goes to show that there are undiscovered superstars around the league waiting to burst into the scene. With Lin telling the most provocative rags-to-riches story in NBA history, is Linsanity enough to get Jeremy his own signature shoe, or even a PE version of his dependable Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Low? Check out Lin in this Pro Drills video below and let us know what you think.

Linsanity has overwhelmed the NBA and pro-sports newsreel as the Asian sensation continues to prove that his six-game streak is no fluke. On Valentine’s Day, Jeremy Lin blew a kiss of death to Raptors fans with a game-winning three-pointer to finish off the game while wearing the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Low (with rumors of a ‘Linsanity’ PE swirling around). Amare Stoudemire and his Nike Air Max Sweep Thru was welcomed back into the line-up as he contributed a very Amare-like stat-line of 21 and 9. LeBron James rocked a Red/Black PE of the Nike LeBron 9 as the Heat finally turned the table on the Bucks, while the Wizards’ Jordan Crawford switched up his rotation by wearing the Nike Huarache Free Bball 2012 in the Black/Royal colorway. Of course, we’ve got a lot more for you below, like Al Harrington’s LeBron 9 iD, Amir Johnson’s White/Red Kobe VII,¬†and Nate Robinson’s Air Jordan X, so check out some of the best NBA kicks from the previous two nights and let us know who rocked the best kicks! via Yahoo!

Did any NBA ballers partake in what might be the biggest sneaker release day ever? We did spot a bunch of players wearing the Air Jordan X ‘Old Royal’, but that was just the tip of the iceberg because this weekend might’ve been the most heat-filled week of the season. Jordan Crawford, who has quietly built a solid rep as a sneakerhead to look out for, wore the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Metallic Red’, while new pick-up Reggie Williams of the Charlotte Bobcats wore the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Year Of The Dragon’. Other heat included Paul George’s Jordan Spiz’ike ‘Bordeaux’, while Utah youngsters C.J. Miles and Enes Kanter jazzed it up with the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’. Ray Allen wore the Air Jordan 2011 A-Flight, Chris Paul dazzled in a nice PE of the CP3.V, and Delonte West maintained the tempo with the Air Max Uptempo. Can’t end an NBA Feet without a Jeremy Lin mention, because he took down the Lakers and the T-Wolves with the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Low.
