For the first time in a long time, Jordan Brand is outfitting one of their athletes with a PE pair of the Air Jordan XX3. The reasoning comes from athlete in question Maya Moore’s many connections to that all important number of 23. She’s 23 year’s old now and she wear’s the 23 on court, so the JB team saw it fit to give her the pair of XX3s pictured here in a Minnesota Lynx colorway. On top of that they’ve thrown a gang of Jordan Aero Manias her way too, each of them equipped with personal bits of PE flair. The Jordan Brand Classic 2013 has arrived in New York City. This morning had the various high-school aged ballers from around the world at Basketball City, where they hit the courts to practice for Saturday’s festivities. As expected they’ve been blessed with plenty of player exclusives, with the practice sneaker for the event being the Jordan Aero Mania pictured here. The sneaker comes in a clean black and white colorway and gets upgraded by the Jordan Brand Classic logo on the tongue and some elephant print pouring down into the lining. When we first saw the Jordan Aero Mania during the product preview for the Holiday 2012 season, we were filled in some interesting info regarding a strong college connection with the shoe. The Final Four is indeed void of Jordan Brand outfitted schools with the exception of Wichita State, which isn’t officially a Jordan Brand school but has been wearing Jumpman on their jerseys. This unreleased sample accentuates the wild design of the Aero Mania, with an “Aqua” upper paired with hints of black and purple for that Air Jordan VIII “Aqua” feel, but keep in mind that a “Grape” colorway is hitting in low-top height. A new of era of Jordan Brand is upon us, led by the fresh faces of Blake Griffin and Russell Westbrook to the already formidable roster of signature athletes. What’s more important than signature models and the inspired Retro releases are the pure Performance models like the Jordan Aero Mania, which has been in steady rotation among the NCAA’s Jumpman-branded squads. The Aero Mania also features a low-top version, and this April, Jordan Brand will introduce the model in an exciting ‘Grape’-inspired colorway seen here. We can expect these in April so check out the images below and stay tuned for a full recap of April’s releases.

The Jordan Aero Mania has released in a handful of exciting colorways that make the most of a color/white template thanks to a variety of shades adding depth to the upper. Along with this modern tonal blocking style, we can also expect some more traditional makeups, particularly when it comes to Jordan Brand’s sponsored schools. This latest Aero Mania features a white and University Blue build that’s synonymous with MJ’s University of North Carolina Tar Heels, and while it’s likely UNC will end up rocking these, we’ll wait to see if they get a special PE with the interlocking tongue logo. Following up on the famously WWF Pack’d Aero Flight is this new performance basketball model from Jordan Brand. The Jordan Aero Mania has a name that suggests a hulk of an effort and this bold Team and Total Orange makeup does not disappoint. The Aero Mania features Flywire for lightweight strength but you might not see it at first glance thanks to the upper’s slashing graphics. There’s another, sort of surprising, Jordan Brand sneaker that got dipped in the ‘BHM’ treatment for today’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day NBA activities. That is the Jordan Aero Mania ‘BHM’, one that was represented by Jordan Brand athlete Gerald Wallace of the Brooklyn Nets and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers. In terms of color blocking the pair comes in closest to the Jordan CP3.VI ‘BHM’ what with its black, blue, and yellow upper.
