Jordan D’Reign X – Del Sol – Black – Varsity Red

Dwyane Wade was under a ton of heat from the media after his lackluster Second Round – Game 3 performance and side-line spat with Head Coach Spoelstra, but he proved that Wade is still an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. With the Heat down by a wide margin and the Pacers looking ahead to a 3-1 series lead, Wade took matters into his own hands by scoring an uninterrupted string of buckets and ended up with one of his best performances of the entire postseason – even after another sluggish first half performance. ‘D’Reign’ has never rang truer, and while Wade has yet to break out this takedown model in the Playoffs just yet (the EV is serving him fairly well thus far), the ‘Del Sol’ D’Reign has become available in-store in case you want to expand the limited Wade library in your sneaker closet. Wade and the Heat are now enjoying a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals so take a look at additional shots of the Del Sol colorway below and cop a pair now from id4shoes on eBay.

Sneaker News showed you what Dwyane Wade has lined up for the NBA Playoffs a few days ago, but what about the dog days of summer? After this year’s Larry O’Brien trophy recipient has been determined, you might choose to rock the Jordan D’Reign for your summertime streetball activities, this mostly-yellow pair something like the answer to the ‘Varsity Maize’ LeBron 9 P.S. Elite when it comes to Miami Heat alternate looks. The D’Reign will be far more affordable and readily available, though, and its XDR outsole ensures they’ll last you even under the harshest conditions. Check these out in greater detail below, let us know how they compare to other standouts like the ‘Cool Grey’ edition and stick with Sneaker News for release info. via Taobao

Jordan Wade D’Reign ‘Cool Grey’

The first couple Jordan D’Reign colorways showed us how this model blends the patent leather introduced on the Air Jordan XI with Dwyane Wade’s era as Jordan Brand’s number one baller. This latest model takes that connection considerably further, the ‘Cool Grey’ Wade D’Reign ending up closer to the CG AJIX thanks to the patent mudguard that stretches from toe to heel and all the way up the the ankle eyelets. These probably won’t get the kind of attention from collectors as that Cool Grey Nine’s holiday season release, but how do they compare to the other D’Reigns, or even the first round of CG-paneled Fly Wades from last summer? Let us know after you check out the photos on the other side and stick with Sneaker News for US release info. Photos: Taobao

Jordan D’Reign X – White – Black – Varsity Red

The Fly Wade debuted last May as Jordan Brand’s lightest basketball sneaker ever, its sleek lines soon giving rise to the Fly 23 offshoot model that subsequently appeared in a plethora of team-oriented colorways.  The Fly 23′s name and shape made it clear their DNA was Wade’s, but 2012′s Jordan D’Reign goes so far as to add the Miami shooting guard’s new ‘W’ insignia to the tongue to make perfectly clear that this is a part of his signature lineup.  This pair’s white, black and Varsity Red colorup further connects it to the Heat team colors, but these are more likely to show up at your local playground than American Airlines Arena thanks to the rugged XDR (Extra Durable Rubber) outsole.  Have a look at the way their patent leather toe pops from the all-white upper and stick with Sneaker News for release info.  Photos: HC

Jordan Wade D’Reign X – White – Black – Varsity Red

So who’s the King of Miami? With a longer reign and one Championship ring under his belt, that title goes to Dwyane Wade (sorry, LeBron). Checking in this Summer is the all-new Jordan D’Reign -  a new model derived from the design concept of the Jordan Fly Wade 2. However, you won’t find the Lunarlon heel or the carbon fiber plate that extends three-fourths of the entire footbed, but an ample replacement with XDR rubber for outdoor play – something quite common in Asia-exclusive take-down models. Will this hit retailers in the States? Check out these new images of the White/Varsity Red-Black colorway and we’ll keep you posted if these pop up anywhere in North America.
