Surrounding a big retro release it’s inevitable that the colorway at hand leaks out to some of Jordan Brand’s peripheral models. So with the Air Jordan IV in White/Cement right around the corner, it’s no surprise to see a similar getup on the all new Jordan Flight 9 Max RST. Another of the colorways from the initial trio of releases for this 2012 Jumpman model grabs the old royal look championed by the recent Air Jordan X of the same name. That leaves the black pair as the odd man out, but such a clean look is never a bad choice regardless. The last we saw of the Jordan Flight 9, it’d been stretched into a calf-high boot for ladies and replaced in the Jordan Brand regular rotation by a variety of new models. Among those new standbys has been the CMFT series which pairs design cues from the Air Jordan Legacy with the signature visible Air cushioning from the Nike Air Max running lineage, shades of which can be seen here. The Jordan Flight 9 Max RST actually uses a full-length Max Air cushion much closer to something like soon-to-release Big Ups, but these are undoubtedly a casual choice much like the ‘Comfort’ line.
