It’s something like an AJIII silhouette with design language borrowed from the IV, so it’s only natural that the Jordan Flight Club ’80s takes on beloved OG colorways from these classics. In this case, it’s an original look shared in common, as you get the ‘Black Cement’/'Bred’ color scheme laid on top of this heavily netted midtop design. With the styles we’ve seen so far focusing in on the dominant contributors, it’ll be interesting to see if odes to the V and VI come through to match their influence on the tooling, so check out more images below and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for the latest release info.

Just ahead of this weekend’s “Fire Red” Air Jordan III release Jordan Brand is giving us this sneaker borrowing heavily from the classic pair. Hit the click to get a complete look at the Jordan Flight Club 80s and remember that you can pick them up right now from overseas retailers including caliroots.

With a name like Jordan Flight Club 80, you might expect this latest design from the Jumpman to fuse Air Jordan IV or V aesthetics with something from his high school days at Wilmington, North Carolina’s Emsley A. Laney. But instead of an obvious blue and gold tie in or a nod to the vulc-soled styles MJ was wearing at the time, the FLTCLB 80 is more like an updated Air Jordan III silhouette covered in the IV’s netting, all atop a new midsole tooling somewhere in between the two but with a decidedly modern twist. Let us know your first impression after you’ve seen more below and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Jordan release dates.
