It’s pretty hard not to see patent leather on any given Jordan Brand release and immediately think of the Air Jordan XI. That rings especially true as we head in the the fourth quarter, a time that has in recent years seen that slick silhouette dominate retro headlines right around the holiday season. Giving you something more to talk about is the Jordan Flight Team 11, a pair that borrows just a bit from Mike’s eleventh what with the patent treatment up front, the rest of the design pasting in a bit of Hyperfuse paneling a la the Jordan Blazin’. Jordan Brand kicks off the Holiday 2012 season with an impressive collection of footwear the encompasses basketball, lifestyle, training, and trail by introducing a plethora of new models in some exciting colorways. We’ve covered some of the notable releases like the Jordan Sixty Club – a hybrid of sorts that combines the Air Jordan 1, II, and V – and the Jordan 23 Degrees F – a built-for-the-elements boot in three rugged colorways. Jordan Brand also delves deeper into the Training field with the multi-purpose Legend TR, but also keeps it ‘street’ with a wide variety of colorways of the SC-1, Flight 23 RST Low, and the all-new AJ V.1 Chukka. Whenever Jordan Brand drops a new sneaker, there’s a handful of go to colorways that will inevitably find their way onto said sneaker. Chief among those is the “Bulls” theme, the classic white/varsity red/black combo like the one pictured above on the brand new Jordan Flight Team 11. This sneaker gets a bit of Hyperfuse treatment, something we don’t see too often on Jordans, in a section that breaks up the sweeping leather paneling. While the legacy series will always be the fan-favorite, Jordan Brand is putting a lot of emphasis on the models that splinter out from the core of the Jordan line. Following their big reveal of the new signature sneakers for Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony we’ve got another addition to the ever growing catalog: the Jordan Flight Team 11. Featuring Hyperfuse paneling along the side of the sneaker, this one gets a luxury boost thanks to the pebbled looking patent leather that extends down the front end of the shoe.
