Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV – NBA Finals “Away” PE

What if the OKC Thunder pulled off a Game 5 win and extended the Series back to the Chesapeake Arena? Would their home-crowd support given them the ultimate edge and perhaps a series victory? Your guess would be as good as ours, but it appears that Jordan Brand had some extra-special ‘Away’ digs for Dwyane Wade to rock in case the Series had to go six, or many seven games. Wade did wear a similar Black/Red/Gold PE of his Fly Wade 2 EV during the first two games of the series, but this pair goes tonal red with the gold detailing on the logos, laces, and Flywire upper. The book is now officially closed on the Fly Wade 2 EV, barring a ‘Finals’ or ‘Championship’ release, but stay tuned to Sneaker News for more Jordan Fly Wade updates leading up to the third installment of the series.

NBA Feet: 2012 Finals Game 2 Recap

nba feet finals game 2 22 NBA Feet: 2012 Finals Game 2 Recap

The OKC Thunder came back from down double-digits to pull out a win in Game 1. Unfortunately for the Thunder nation, Durant and Co. weren’t able to pull it off for Game 2, but it sure came down to the wire! Clearly it’s the slow starts that have been the Thunder’s achilles heel in the Playoffs thus far, so for Game 3, look for Scott Brooks to push the offense fast and early as OKC looks to recapture their hard-earned Home Court advantage. Looking onto the kicks – Durant rocked his Finals PE of the KD IV again while LeBron reverted to the ‘Away’ Elites to match the uniforms. Wade wore another Black/Gold PE of the Fly Wade 2 EV and Bosh went with his Air Max Hyperdunk 2011 Elite PE while pouring in 16 and 15. Perhaps the best ‘Feet’ belongs to Thabo Sefolosha, who wore a White/Gold Nike Zoom Kobe VI that very much had a ‘Big Stage’ vibe. We’ve got a recap of last night’s events below so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for Game 3 and the potential PE heat! Photos: yahoo

NBA Feet: 2012 Finals Game 1 Recap

2012 nba finals game 1 22 NBA Feet: 2012 Finals Game 1 Recap

Advantage: Oklahoma City Thunder. Game 1 kicked off in the Chesapeake Arena last night as the OKC Thunder hosted the Eastern Conference representatives for the opening festivities of the 2012 NBA Finals. Sneaker News gave you a quick preview of the LeBron vs. Durant match-up, and clearly, the outcome of the first battle went in Durant’s favor. Durant, who was wearing the Nike Zoom KD IV NBA Finals PE, lit up the fourth quarter and would not let Miami catch up, sealing the deal with teammate Russell Westbrook hitting some key shots.  The entire Thunder squad donned white-based gear, with Center Kendrick Perkins opting for the Air Jordan IV ‘Military’ and Thabo Sefalosha wearing the ‘Home’ Kobe VII Elite.

LeBron James started the game off strong, catching our attention with his own NBA Finals PE of the LeBron 9 Elite, and running-mate Dwyane Wade sported his own PE of the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV, which featured hints of gold on a red base. The entire Heat squad chose to wear predominately red, with Chris Bosh wearing a sick PE of the Air Max Hyperdunk Elite, Mario Chalmers proudly rocking his own Spalding PE, and perimeter threat Shane Battier wearing his Peak special editions. We’ve got a nice gallery of last night’s NBA Finals Game 1 showdown, so check out the best sneakers of the night and be sure to check back with Sneaker News with more PE goodness and, of course, Thursday night’s Game 2. Photos: yahoo

Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV ‘Biscayne’

Dwyane Wade is starting to heat up a bit, and as the Miami Heat head to Boston just two wins away from back-to-back NBA Finals appearances, Wade’s resurgence couldn’t have arrived at a better time. For June, Jordan Brand has created a high-energy colorway of the sleek Fly Wade 2 EV inspired by Biscayne Bay in Miami, and in the boulevard where the Heat had their 2006 Championship parade. This Miami-inspired colorway is a near-match to LeBron James’ Miami Nights colorway – perhaps Wade and Bron will break out their respective kicks if the Heat get to celebrate again? More angles of this June release is right ahead, so take a look at the Jordan Fly Wade 2 ‘Biscayne’ below and cop from Jordan Brand retailers in June for $145.

Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV – Club Purple – White – Black – Spark

Earlier today we showed you what is undoubtedly the best Fly Wade 2 EV (or perhaps Fly Wade period) colorway ever. The Metallic Gold Coin matte finish worked wonders with the seamless appeal of the Fly Wade 2 EV, and the sneaker model itself, which hasn’t garnered the attention as much as, say, a LeBron or KD, received a ton of praise for the selection of color. There’s another Fly Wade 2 EV goodie for June – this Club Purple/Spark colorway that captures that original ‘Raptors’ crest using the two-toned colorway with Black and White hits around the shoe. Certainly a punchier, neon effect achieved with these, but are these better than the Fly Wade 2 ‘Gold Coin’? Check out additional angles below and let us know what you think.

Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV – Metallic Gold Coin – Black – White

Are we looking at – dare we say – Dwyane Wade’s NBA Finals sneaker? Jordan Brand has an immense amount of confidence in its marquee signature athlete, and although there isn’t a true ‘Finals’ attachment to this sick June release, how awesome would it be to see Wade and LeBron fly down the court and pull off one of their stylish alley-oops while wearing their respective Black/Gold sneakers? That’s ‘winning’ at the very least, but Wade and the Heat still have to pull off one more W against the Pacers and have a tough test in the Eastern Conference Finals against the veteran Celtics or the energetic Sixers. Speaking on the shoes – the Metallic Gold Coin treatment does absolute wonders for the already supercar-like Fly Wade 2 EV – a true alchemic touch if there was one. Continue reading for a first look at the Jordan Fly Wade 2 ‘Gold Coin’ after the jump and let us know if you think Wade has a third career NBA Finals coming at him this June!

NBA Feet: Weekend Recap – 5/11 – 5/13

nba feet 5 14 12 NBA Feet: Weekend Recap 5/11 5/13

Just a small handful of games went down over the weekend, but what the NBA lacked in number, it overcompensated with heated competition and some new sneaks! The Los Angeles Clippers finally put away the tough Memphis Grizzlies as Chris Paul and his CP3.V led the Clippers to victory. Teammate Nick Young wore the best kicks though, wearing the Air Foamposite One ‘Metallic Red’ to match the Away uni. On the other side, Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzles brought back the Air Max Tempo in White/Navy. The other LA squad advanced to the second round as well, led by Kobe Bryant who wore the ‘Lakers’ colorway of the Zoom Kobe VII ‘Dart Frog’. The East was already on the Semi-Finals round of play, as LeBron wore the LeBron 9 ‘MVP’ and teammate Dwyane Wade chipped in with the Fly Wade 2 EV. Paul George, who has been Kobe VII-friendly this season, broke out the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Elite ‘Away’. The final game of the weekend was between Philly and Boston, led by Rajon Rondo’s Zoom Huarache 2K4 iD. More of the NBA below, so take a look and stay tuned for more!  Photos: espn
