The Jordan Brand Big Three spent a few extra days off this week to rest for the big stage, currently scheduled to kick off tomorrow. Out West, Chris Paul will lead Lob City against the tough Memphis Grizzlies squad wearing two PE colorways of the Jordan CP3.V, which shuffles around the Clippers’ crest of White, Red, and Varsity Royal. In the East, Melo and Wade will meet in a collision down in Miami, as the Heat invite the Knicks to their Home Court for Game 1 of their series. Carmelo Anthony will wearing two Playoff colorways of the Jordan Melo M8, while Dwyane Wade will make the official transition to the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV (with a third ‘Cool Grey’-like colorway also in the mix). After watching the shoes in action, you’ll have the opportunity to cop the entire 2012 NBA Playoff Collection from Jordan Brand beginning on May 9th, so check out the gallery below and let us know which of the Jordan Brand Big Three has the best shot at the Larry O’Brien trophy!

Dwyane Wade is still pulling out new player exclusive colorways of the Fly Wade 2 as of Easter weekend, but April also means that the NBA Playoffs are right around the corner, and that will signal a shift in sneaker choices for the guy who got Miami their first and only championship. Will the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV show up alongside Commissioner Stern at the end of the Finals in June? This intense Gym Red, black and white colorup resembles the postseason look for Michael Jordan’s six rings, a palette that’s practically synonymous with the Larry O’Brien trophy. It’s hard to say what could happen come playoff time, but we do know for sure what D-Wade, LeBron and Kobe will be wearing; who’s got the best 2012 NBA Playoff sneakers so far? Let us know when you head over to the other side for more images of the ‘Gym Red’ Fly Wade 2 EV and stick with Sneaker News for release info. Photos: HoopCity

Even though it’s not entirely clear where the money would come from, Dwyane Wade recently voiced his opinion that the USA Basketball Olympic squad should be compensated for their time. And while that will probably never happen, D-Wade is indeed getting a little something extra from Jordan Brand in time for NBA Playoff action. Maybe the more optimistic LeBron James can remind his teammate that he’s dealing with a have-and-eat-cake situation here, as the artist formerly known as ‘Flash’ will take this new sleeker Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV for a spin during some Heat home games before heading off to London for the 2012 Olympic Games. The upgrades in technology and aesthetics are as clear as the Flywire you’ll see in more detailed images below, so take a look and let us know how these compare to the initial Fly Wade 2 design. They say a certain ‘switch’ turns on inside the psyche of certain NBA players once the Playoffs come around. There’s a reason why guys like Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant have won Championships while others are still on the hunt, which is why all eyes will be glued to Miami and Los Angeles once the postseason arrives. Will Wade have what it takes to lead Miami to its second title in franchise history? Jordan Brand has outfitted him with the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV – an ‘evolved’ form of the Fly Wade 2 that features a Flywire-laden upper that should give the shoe a lighter overall package. We’ve got a first detailed viewing of this upcoming release so take a look at the detailed shots below, or better yet, check out Dwyane Wade wearing them in-game! Photos via x-kicks
