JORDAN FLY WADE 2 The Jordan Fly Wade 2 is Dwyane Wade’s second signature model with Jordan Brand. The sneaker was worn by Wade as he played for the Miami Heat during the shortened 2011-12 season, one that ended in an eventual Championship for the Heat. The Jordan Fly Wade 2 also comes in the post season version worn by Wade in the playoffs known as the Jordan Fly Wade 2 EV.

The term ‘Fly Wade’ has never been truer. While Dwyane Wade is currently out of NBA action with an injured ankle, he recently dropped a sextuple-quadruple – that is, six figures on a four-wheeled car. Best part is, the car was a gift from an owner of a luxury car dealership. What a way to enter your 30′s, Dwyane, but we all want to see you healthy and back on court rocking your Fly Wade 2s. Tomorrow is the official release of the new White/Varsity Red-Black colorway of Wade’s sequel with Jordan Brand, so head to your local retailer tomorrow or cop them right now from empire_sneakers07 on eBay.

It’s been roughly one month since Dwyane Wade’s Jordan Fly Wade 2 launch; Sneaker News brought you a first-hand look at the release, with a special VIP-media only event down in Miami where attendees showed off their ‘Flight’ by dunking off trampolines (some failed, others failed miserably). But the fast-paced growth of Dwyane Wade’s legacy with Jordan Brand might have you accidentally overlooking the original Jordan Fly Wade that released in May; just seven months separate the release of the Fly Wade and Fly Wade 2, both of which boast a supremely lightweight construction with some unique details that distinguish the two closely-related models. In fact, the Fly Wade is so comfortable that Dwyane Wade himself was spotted wearing the Fly Wade 1 during a recent game. Get your Foot Locker VIP access and head on over to Foot Locker Unlocked for a nice side-by-side comparison of the Jordan Fly Wade and Jordan Fly Wade 2 Comparison, and let us know which of the two you like better.

Dwyane Wade is one of three signature athletes with Jordan Brand, but the lone Championship Ring holder. That itself sets him above his two brand-mates (and even LeBron and Durant, but just below Kobe’s 5 rings), which is why the Jordan Fly Wade 2 is considered to be top-tier Jordan Brand basketball shoe at the moment. Utilizing a plethora of performance-driven detailing like the LunarLon outsole, the extended shank plate, and Hyperfuse technology, the Jordan Fly Wade 2 lives up to the ‘top-tier’ billing, but in a curious move, Dwyane Wade has been wearing the Jordan Fly Wade 1 in recent games! It’s time to switch back, because the Heat just lost two straight. The upcoming ‘Home’ colorway of White/Varsity Red-Black now has an official release date of January the 18th at retailers like CNCPTS, so check out the detailed shots below and stay with Sneaker News for more release date info and updates.

2011 was quite a year for Jordan Brand’s three signature athletes. Carmelo Anthony went from West to East in a trade that sent him packing to New York City. Then, Dwyane Wade helped the Heat capture the Eastern Conference Championship and achieved his second NBA Finals appearance. Finally, Chris Paul was involved in another blockbuster trade that joined him with Los Angeles’ rising superstar Blake Griffin. While it may have been a hectic year for Jordan Brand, the Christmas holiday is a day or reflection (or for the three superstars, their 2011-12 NBA season debut). Releasing on Christmas Day is the Jordan Brand Christmas 2011 Pack, featuring the Jordan Melo M8 in Clover Green and Total Orange and the Jordan Fly Wade 2 in a tonal red. Missing in action is the Jordan CP3.V, which will debut in early January, but you’ll still see the Jordan CP3.V ‘Christmas’ during this Sunday’s games. Watch them in action on Christmas Day as all three Jordan Brand athletes will take the court in a much-anticipated opening tip-off of the season, and don’t forget to cop the Melos and Wades midnight at Nikestore on Christmas Day.

Dwayne Wade will break out the Jordan Fly Wade 2 on Christmas Day in an all-red getup that adds green laces to commemorate the holidays, but what he be wearing for the rest of the shortened NBA regular season. Models like this pair in white, black and Varsity Red are likely to make up the bulk of his go-to rotation as we move into 2012, this particular edition shaping up to be a ‘home’ look for games at Miami’s American Airlines Arena. The ‘away’ pair already hit retailers and plenty more are still to come, but we’ve yet to get any evidence of an ‘off-color’ look like the ‘South Beach’ palette that made its way to the original Fly Wade; what else should we expect from the Fly Wade 2 moving forward? Click through for a closer look at this pair, let us know how they rank against the rest and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date. via Washinsp

Earlier today Sneaker News gave you the low-down on some release dates for the Nike Basketball Christmas Pack 2011, which featured the LeBron 9 , KD IV, and Zoom Kobe VII. Both releases will hit stores on Christmas Day, but that leaves the Jordan CP3.V, which is currently set for an early January release (and we don’t even know where CP3 will play this season). Most of you already have the 25th circled on your calendars for other reasons, but don’t forget about these two great Jordan Brand releases!
