While Syracuse University isn’t a Jordan Brand outfitted school, the school has turned a harmless blind eye to its players rocking Air Jordans on court. In addition to all the AJ Retro heat that we’ve seen on the Carrier Dome court, Syracuse has created a tradition of rocking Jordan Melos as well, as a homage to Carmelo Anthony’s Championship-winning legacy with the school. We can expect the Future Sole Melo M8 on their feet sometime in the future, but you can definitely count on the White/Midnight Navy-Orange Blaze to appear even sooner; watch for these to hit store in March, when NCAA basketball intensity becomes red-hot, and let us know what you think of these Orange-inspired Melos in the comments section below.

It appears that the New York Knicks are back on track after a rough start, winning three straight against Eastern Conference foes. While Carmelo is one of the most prolific scorers in the game, the Knicks seem to perform a bit better when he shares the ball a bit more – two of their five wins came without Melo being the leading bucket-maker. However, for the Knicks the truly succeed at the highest level, Carmelo Anthony needs to be at the top of his game, and he’s certainly doing so in the Jordan Melo M8, which features Flywire, visible Zoom Air cushioning, and a lock-down inner bootie. We showed you the Syracuse colorway a few times before, but we’ve got additional angles as well as a release point for these (March 2012, just in time for Syracuse’s run at the National Title).
