With a Playoff spot on the line and the Milwaukee Bucks right on their tails, the New York Knicks are looking at every upcoming game as a ‘must-win’. As of Sunday morning, the Knicks were just one loss away from sharing the number-8 spot, and with the Chicago Bulls coming into town with the league’s reigning MVP making a return, the Knicks were facing their toughest test of the season. Without their star point guard and power forward, the Knicks needed to stand on the shoulders of Carmelo Anthony, who proved yesterday that he is still a giant in the league.
Carmelo carried the Knicks throughout the entire contest, giving the Knicks a second life with the game-tying three-pointer at the end of regulation and sealing a win with an over-time go-ahead three-pointer with seconds to spare. As he hit that final shot, Carmelo screamed to the crowd “This is my house”, and after yesterday’s win, the foundation of MSG’s postseason hopes were stronger than it they’ve ever been. For this special Easter Sunday game, Melo rocked out in some blue suede shoes – a sick Player Exclusive of his Jordan Melo M8 that profusely bled Knicks blue and orange. In what was undoubtedly Carmelo’s best game as a Knick, his kicks seemed to match the occasion without fault, so lets hope Melo continues to rock these PEs for the rest of the season, because as the leader of the Garden household, it’s all on him now. High expectations and New York professional sports have gone hand-in-hand for decades now, but other franchise in professional sports history demands ‘winning’ like the New York Yankees do. When C.C. Sabathia takes the mound tonight for the Yankees 2012 season opener against the Tampa Bay Rays, he’ll be wearing a PE Cleat version of the Jordan Melo M8 – the signature sneaker of fellow Jordan Brand representative and New York sports superstar Carmelo Anthony. While C.C. already showed off the ‘Away’ pair, we get a first look at the ‘Home’ pair, which features a mix of White and Navy to represent the pinstripes in the Bronx. Check out the extra angles below and give us your World Series Champion predictions for this season!

C.C. Sabathia has been penciled in by Yankees manager Joe Girardi as the Opening Day starter for the Bronx Bombers, and the Ace will take the mound wearing some Jordan PEs – but the Air Jordan XIs that he’s been most frequently spotted in. Sabathia will show some love to fellow New York pro-athlete megastar Carmelo Anthony by wearing a sick PE colorway of the Jordan Melo M8; it features a sick full navy patent leather upper with the grey detailing on the interior and Jumpman for a visually appealing package that should hopefully distract Albert Pujols and the rest of the Angels line-up! C.C. Sabathia asks: What y’all think? Let him know in the comments below.

NCAA March Madness just kicked off (and we’ll keep you updated with a great ‘Feet’ feature), but the NBA had some entertaining games and even better sneakers on court! Starting off with Air Jordans – Dwyane Wade brought the ‘Last Shot’ back to Chicago, Gerald Green raised his stock with the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, and Shannon Brown scorched the opponents with the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’. The ‘new-look’ Knicks slaughtered the Blazers with Carmelo wearing the ‘Syracuse’ colorway of the Jordan Melo M8, LeBron James showed off his Red/Black PE again, and Ty Lawson rocked the ‘Cool Grey’ LeBron 9. That’s just a small sampling of what’s below, so take a look and let us know who rocked the best kicks! via Yahoo

One of the first non-Knicks colorways of the Jordan Melo M8 was this Anthracite/White-Varsity Maize that many quickly dubbed the ‘NYC Taxi’ colorway. The New York City specific is rather clear on this one, but what remained hazy was the actual release date of this shoe. Jordan Brand originally intended to drop these in December of 2011, but that information was pulled back the Melo M8 ‘Taxi’ was never seen again. That is, until now: Nikestore just stocked this colorway, so check out the extra angles below for a quick refresher and heat there to hail your own.

With the Jordan Brand ‘College Collection’ dropping tomorrow, how about we take a look back at Melo, Wade, and CP3′s greatest college-time achievements? Dwyane Wade led Marquette to the Final Four in 2003 while recording one of four triple-doubles in NCAA Tournament history, upsetting the top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in the process. Chris Paul led Wake Forest to two straight tournament berths, getting as far as the Sweet 16 in the 2004 Tournament. The highest regard goes to Carmelo Anthony, who led Syracuse to its first ever National Championship in his Freshman year, earning the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award will receiving praise from coach Jim Boeheim, who called Melo the best player in college ball by far, emphatically making his point with “It wasn’t even close”. You can relive any one of those three stories tomorrow when the College Collection of the Fly Wade 2, Melo M8, and CP3.V hits retailers like Millenium Shoes, so let us know which of the three Jordan Brand stars had the best college career and cop any one of the three releases on eBay.
