NCAA March Madness just kicked off (and we’ll keep you updated with a great ‘Feet’ feature), but the NBA had some entertaining games and even better sneakers on court! Starting off with Air Jordans – Dwyane Wade brought the ‘Last Shot’ back to Chicago, Gerald Green raised his stock with the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, and Shannon Brown scorched the opponents with the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’. The ‘new-look’ Knicks slaughtered the Blazers with Carmelo wearing the ‘Syracuse’ colorway of the Jordan Melo M8, LeBron James showed off his Red/Black PE again, and Ty Lawson rocked the ‘Cool Grey’ LeBron 9. That’s just a small sampling of what’s below, so take a look and let us know who rocked the best kicks! via Yahoo

One of the first non-Knicks colorways of the Jordan Melo M8 was this Anthracite/White-Varsity Maize that many quickly dubbed the ‘NYC Taxi’ colorway. The New York City specific is rather clear on this one, but what remained hazy was the actual release date of this shoe. Jordan Brand originally intended to drop these in December of 2011, but that information was pulled back the Melo M8 ‘Taxi’ was never seen again. That is, until now: Nikestore just stocked this colorway, so check out the extra angles below for a quick refresher and heat there to hail your own.

With the Jordan Brand ‘College Collection’ dropping tomorrow, how about we take a look back at Melo, Wade, and CP3′s greatest college-time achievements? Dwyane Wade led Marquette to the Final Four in 2003 while recording one of four triple-doubles in NCAA Tournament history, upsetting the top-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in the process. Chris Paul led Wake Forest to two straight tournament berths, getting as far as the Sweet 16 in the 2004 Tournament. The highest regard goes to Carmelo Anthony, who led Syracuse to its first ever National Championship in his Freshman year, earning the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award will receiving praise from coach Jim Boeheim, who called Melo the best player in college ball by far, emphatically making his point with “It wasn’t even close”. You can relive any one of those three stories tomorrow when the College Collection of the Fly Wade 2, Melo M8, and CP3.V hits retailers like Millenium Shoes, so let us know which of the three Jordan Brand stars had the best college career and cop any one of the three releases on eBay.

Carmelo Anthony just accomplished something that very few NBA players do in their careers – start an NBA All-Star Game for both conferences. A guy like Melo will always receive a ton of votes from fans, and with the wider exposure in New York City, you can consider him a sure bet to start at the ’3′ for several years. After dropping 19 and 9 during the most recent All-Star gathering, Melo’s back on the grind and focusing on a Playoff push with newfound star teammate Jeremy Lin, and for the second half, he’s got a new colorway of the Melo M8 to look forward to – this Pitch Blue/Stealth-White colorway. It’s set for an April release so check out the official photos from Jordan Brand below and keep in tune with Sneaker News as we’ve got more Jordan Brand updates on the way.

Syracuse, Marquette, and Wake Forest – the three schools responsible for honing the skills of three of today’s most talented NBA superstars. Carmelo Anthony was without question the most successful of the bunch, winning a National Title with Syracuse in 2003, but Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul also had their success in the tournament, with Wade almost facing off against Melo in the 2003 Final. Jordan Brand will commemorate this year’s March Madness tournament with special colorways of the three Jordan Brand signatures modeled after their schools; Chris Paul’s Jordan CP3.V will be colored in a Black/Gold, Melo’s Jordan Melo M8 will be full of ‘Orange’, and Dwyane Wade’s Jordan Fly Wade 2 will be adorned with the regal University Gold. The entire Jordan Brand March Madness Pack will become available next Thursday on March 8th, so let us know which of the three you like best and give us your predictions for this year’s NCAA National Championship!

Even though two of them switched teams and one of them switched conferences, Jordan Brand still managed to get three of the ten 2012 NBA All-Star Game starting spots for their signature athletes. Chris Paul’s West red Jordan CP3.V ‘All-Star’ will be considerably more similar to his everyday attire than in 2011, while Carmelo Anthony sees the Eastern Conference’s traditional blue on his Melo M8 for the first time in the series history. Dwyane Wade’s Fly Wade 2 rounds out the East squad heavy on 2003 draft pics, and speaking of timing your selections just right, these three are about to go on sale tomorrow at House of Hoops nationwide along with the Foot Locker in New York’s Times Square (the CP3. V will release on Friday). We’ve got a detailed set of images of Jordan Brand’s All-Star Game presence below so check ‘em out and let us know which JB All-Star will have the best overall performance!
