Tomorrow, Jordan Brand will celebrate Black History Month with its debut of the Air Jordan 1, the Jordan Melo M9, and the Jordan Spiz’ike in set inspired by the borough of Brooklyn. Melo, Jordan, and Spike Lee were all born out of that borough, and so the colorway follows the visuals of graffiti, the subway, and the Brooklyn flag. The Air Jordan 1 and the Jordan Melo M9 also feature a dope reflective upper graphic, adding even more of a visual punch to the most classic and most contemporary Jordan release. Carmelo Anthony first rocked the BHM colorway of his outstanding M9 signature shoe, wearing them against the New Jersey Nets on Martin Luther King Day. Although the Knicks couldn’t pull out the W, Melo’s shoes were a major highlight thanks to the tonal Photo Blue upper, and like the Air Jordan 1 ‘BHM’, these pop brightly when hit with a little light. These are set for a release this Saturday, February 9th, so check out Jordan Brand’s official photos below and let us know if this is the best M9 colorway yet.

Jordan Brand closes out the ‘Year of the Snake’ effort with this outstanding colorway of Carmelo Anthony’s Melo M9. Inspired by the snake’s ability to use heat to track down its prey, Jordan Brand uses a thermo-graphic style print on the upper to give the Melo M9 an unprecedented level of color and contrast. Paired with the Air Jordan 1, this Year of the Snake release will be the first Pack-style release since last year’s Golden Moments Pack and will release this Saturday. Today we get a closer look at Carmelo’s choice, the Dave White x Jordan Melo M9 that will apparently incorporate a healthy quantity of 24K gold leaf. Carmelo Anthony’s currently on beastmode for the Knicks as he’s just set a franchise scoring record for the Knicks with an unmatched string of 20-point games. He has the Knicks enjoying its single greatest season in over a decade, and with a starting nod for the mid-February All-Star Game already confirmed for the Small Forward, you’re probably wondering what sick colorway Jordan Brand has in store for their #1 guy when he takes the court in Houston. This Canyon Purple/Electric Green-Black colorway, which matches the colorway of the Air Jordan III ‘Joker’ and intends to support the global release launch of the Air Jordan XX8, is a definite candidate for All-Star weekend.
