The plans for the Jordan Spiz’ike later in 2012 are starting to take shape, with two confirmed colorways on their way at this point. If you don’t feel like waiting till then though there’s always the NIKE iD route, one that’s about to get a bit of an upgrade in a week here. The two options being added will definitely enhance the ability to re-create a few time honored Air Jordan classics, with a speckled cement print and nubuck going live next Thursday, August 23. Towards the beginning of 2012 it almost looked like the Jordan Spiz’ike was on its way out, what with the Jordan Son of Mars taking up a similar design space and not too many known colorways on the horizon. Since then things have taken quite the 180, with a ‘Bred’ version on the way and an introduction to the NIKE iD design process that should serve to breath some new life into this hybrid model. As of now the Jordan Spiz’ike iD is up for grabs, so pull up those color combos you’ve been dreaming up and get to work. Though it may be a while (if ever) for an Air Jordan Retro to hit Nike iD, Jordan Brand has been rather liberal with its holy models, opening the main vault with the Air Jordan 2011 one year ago. It was followed by this year’s Air Jordan 2012, which launched in February, and the Jordan Spiz’ike, which is set for a release tomorrow; we’ve seen some nibbles of the Spiz’ike iD potential with those quick teaser shots, but be assured that the Spiz’ike iD is poised to take a huge bite out of your wallet! One of the biggest stories of the month was the news of the Jordan Spiz’ike iD becoming available on April 24th. To butter you up for next Tuesday’s launch, Nike iD just hit us with a teaser of the Spiz’ike iD, and here we see a sample features a black flat leather upper with a patent leather mudguard, red lace ‘Wings’ with a matching Jumpman, and grey laces.
