After a flurry of activity to start the year, the Jordan Spiz’ike last issued a new colorway back in March. The handful that hit during the first quarter have given way to NIKEiD options at the forefront, with Jordan Brand designers likely preparing forthcoming colorways well ahead of their release dates. One prototype design that never made it past the sample stage is this University Gold Spizike crafted last year, a ‘Candy Pack’-ish colorup that predated the suede iD options by several months (inner tags indicated Holiday 2012 intended release). You can get a similar colorway going with the newest 3M options online at NIKEiD right now, or consider bidding on this rare unreleased sample available now from jordunk23 on eBay.

The last big update to the Jordan Spiz’ike iD that we saw was an Air Jordan V inspired set, bringing in some “23″ embroidery, red suede options, and more. The next one is an option that can again be traced back to the Air Jordan V. Available now is the Jordan Spiz’ike with a full 3M reflective upper, available in a variety of colors that break away from the standard metallic silver. Stay with us after the jump for a handful of colorways that we cooked up and then head to NIKE iD if you feel like making your own version of the Jordan Spiz’ike iD with the reflective 3M.

Giving back to the sneaker-loving community, Nike has gone and donated a quartet of Jordan Spiz’ike iD pairs to a heart-broken family. After the passing of her husband Hondo Morales, widow Jimica Perea was saddened even further to find his car broken into one night, and the Air Jordans he’d left behind stolen. Helping her repair what she calls his legacy for his children, Nike iD reached out to Perea and the family, letting each of the four surviving children design their own version of the Jordan Spiz’ike iD. Continue reading to watch the heart warming video and join us in a round of applause for Nike’s move on this one.

UNDFTD’s concept of a military-inspired Green/Orange composition might be one of the signature colorways of the 2000s. After all, their ridiculously awesome Air Jordan IV, “UNDFTD” is one of the most sought-after shoes out there, and it’s been a sexy colorway to adapt to – especially with customs. GourmetKickz takes a break from his LeBron bangers to bring together UNDFTD and the Jordan Spiz’ike in this latest custom, although it does force us to think about how similar it is to the limited Jordan Spiz’ike “Miami Hurricanes” that hit SoleFly exclusively not long ago. A gallery of this spiced-up Spiz’ike is below, so give it a look and let us know what you think.

About a year before Russell Westbrook joined Jordan Brand, he showed off his Air Jordan III “True Blue” rollerskates. Does this revelation signify Javale McGee joining the Jumpman label as well? It’s more than likely that the Shaqtin’ A Fool regular won’t be brought onto Jordan Brand, but the Peak Basketball athlete clearly has a thing for Jordans and rollerskating like Westbrook does because McGee jus showed off his custom Jordan Spiz’ike Rollerskates made with the recently released “Poison Green” colorway.Sometimes it seems like Javale is playing basketball with rollerskates on, but jokes aside, he’s played an integral role in Denver’s success this season. A full shoe of these McGee joints are below, so take a look!

The Jordan Spiz’ike iD just got a little bit deeper over on NIKE iD. The options recently introduced are a set dubbed as “Air Jordan V Inspired”, with some of them linking up with that title a bit more than others. The most direct connections come in the form of the new “23″ embroidery available on the back end, the red suede upper as a “Raging Bull” tribute, and the icy outsole. Continue reading to see completed samples featuring those details and more right after the jump, and then head to NIKE iD to make your own.

You’ve gotta respect Mark Wahlberg’s Air Jordan game. The guy has stayed with the most recent of Jumpman releases as of late-and not just retro pairs either. Shown here is Wahlberg in the just released Jordan Spiz’ike ’3M’, a flashy colorway that kicked off the month of March. See more of Mark in his Jordan Spiz’ike (And a jacket to match, of course) right after the jump and let us know in the comments if you think he is due for some player exclusives for his dedication to team Jordan.
