While the Jordan Spiz’ike on NIKE iD continues to get more and more added options, the in house designers seem to be flexing their powers in response, sort of showing that they’ve got the the final word when it comes to what sort of Spiz’ikes are possible. The latest example is this, the Jordan Spiz’ike ’3M’, featuring a flashy reflective mudguard to go with a yellow tinged colorway not unlike this upcoming retail pair. The Jordan Spiz’ike iD gets a boost of wilderness with the introduction of elephant print in ‘Flip’ fashion. You now have the option of building your Spiz’ikes with a full elephant print upper in a variety of colors, with nubuck and patent leather being added to the toe-box and heel for even more ‘Flip’ action. While the last release of the Jordan Spiz’ike was the ‘Italy Blue’ in February, Jordan Brand’s done a fine job at maintaining Spike’s heritage with the unprecedented release of the Jordan Spiz’ike iD. More recently, elephant print in full-Flip mode was previewed, so we expected the Spiz’ike to finish out the Holiday 2012 season with a bang. Starting things off is the release of the ‘Raging Bull’ Spiz’ike in Gym Red; we’re certaing the tonal red is irresistible to Jordan fans, so expect these at Jordan Brand retailers tomorrow, or cop them now from yellownsxt on eBay.

It only takes a second glance at the name to recognize that the Jordan Spiz’ike refers to Spike Lee and his role as Mars Blackmon, but the context of this latest drop connects them to one Motorboat Jones as well. Arriving several weeks before the final installment of the Air Jordan IX Johnny Kilroy saga is the new ‘Gym Red’ Spizike, a ‘Raging Bull’-ish nubuck design in which we saw hip-hop legend Nas perform on Saturday. You’ll have your shot this weekend as these new Spiz’ikes arrive at select retailers like Social Status, and you can see a fresh crop of new images after the jump to tide you over until the Saturday, October 20th release.

Nas and Wale: two rappers who are both regulars at the Heineken Red Star Access events and in our celebrity feet category. The latest sees them converging again, the free concert series touching down in Philadelphia and bringing the both of these esteemed rappers on stage. Both had Jordan Brand selections for the day, Nas beating Wale at his own game with an early pair of the Jordan Spiz’ike and Wale bringing out the Air Jordan II ‘Doernbecher’. There are a ton of retros to keep track of this Holiday shopping season, their numbers ranging all the way up and down the scale from the original Tinker Hatfield years.
