Jordan Super Fly RTTG – Black – Gold – Red

We know quite a bit about Jordan Brand’s Retro plans for this Olympic summer, but what about the ancillary designs? Not only does this new Jordan Super Fly feature the same distinct ‘RTTG’ inner tongue tag as the pairs we showed you early this week, but their paisley sockliner is a dead-on match for the Air Jordan 1s we saw just before the turn of the month.  And like the Wizards-inspired design that shares a multicolor print with another of those ‘Olympic’ Air Jordan 1s, these come with a unique hangtag that resembles an airline luggage tag.  This one’s tagged ‘LAS’ in reference to Sin City, but given that the NBA All-Star Weekend rocked Vegas four years after Mike’s retirement, they’re probably more likely connected to his celebrity invitational golf tourney than that ASG.  And it remains to be seen how all these RTTG Super Fly colorways will tie in with the entirety of JB’s summer Oly output, so for now, check out some additional images of this darkest ‘RTTG’ Super Fly and stick with Sneaker News for release info. Jordan Super Fly RTTG – Blue – Gold – White

We’re on the road to the ‘Gold Medal’ pack in addition to a bunch of other dope Olympic Air Jordans this summer, and Jordan Brand will also be bringing along a select few additional performance models as a part of the celebration. The Jordan Super Fly RTTG is back with another special build, one that has enough visual detail to make us forget about the relatively plain initial preview. They share a multicolor print with an upcoming Air Jordan 1, but instead of a black base for that DNA sequence-ish pattern, these opt for a cobalt blue upper that’s inspired by MJ’s brief stint as a Wizard, a tenure further reflected by the ‘WAS’ boarding pass hangtag. We’re still waiting to see the entirety of what’s in store for the Super Fly ‘RTTG’ and how they tie in with the rest of JB’s summer Oly drops, so click through for some more images and stick with Sneaker News for more details. Whether it’s the ’70s cult classic film or Jimmy Snuka off the top of the steel cage at MSG, you know when ‘Super Fly’ is involved, you’re getting more than your fair share of swagger.  The same is true of the upcoming Jordan Super Fly, a new performance basketball model that opts for more of a Hyperfuse-style synthetic construction instead of the Flywire build you might expect from its name.  This new ‘RTTG’ Super Fly highlights the silhouette’s sleek lines with an almost CMY-like accent palette, its nickname officially pronounced on the unique inner tongue tags that suggest this concept has some major significance.  Click through to get a better look and stick with Sneaker News for more Jordan RTTG info.  Photos: SA

Though the name denotes something out of the 80′s, the Jordan Super Fly is actually a brand new design from the Jordan Brand performance basketball design squad. With a unique midsole design that takes on the personality of the Air Jordan 2012, the Super Fly features a no-sew one-piece upper shell fortified by a lightweight and breathable Hyperfuse-like material, with a light-weight Torch-lined tongue that provides an advantage in both comfort and aesthetic. Other interesting details is the exterior heel-counter and the elongated tear-drop shaped vents on the upper. Are these ‘Super Fly’ for you? They sure have no real bearing with the original ‘Super Freak’ turn trainer shoe (later Retroed as the Cover 3). Expect these to hit stores in late June, so take a look below and let us know what you think. Photos: taobao
