Jordan V.5 Grown Low “Gym Red”

The Jordan V.5 Grown Low is one of Jordan Brand’s earlier lifestyle sneaker releases, specifically in the sense that it was one of the first casual pairs that didn’t draw directly on elements from the AJ Legacy. This lowtop chukka got a single release last year and has returned this spring, which is interesting timing as JB is set to take their casual sneaker game to new heights with the luxurious Shine. Providing a more affordable answer at the other end of the spectrum is this new ‘Gym Red’ V.5 Grown Low also offering a different take on the AJ1 OG releasing later this season. Before the $400 Jordan Shine, there was the Jordan Grown

Earlier this week Sneaker News confirmed the retail price of the Jordan Shine (it was $400, by the way). It’s clear that Jordan Brand is trying to elbow its way into the high-end sneaker market, but back in 2010, it made an impressive effort with the Jordan Grown series. Unlike the Shine, which is inspired by the Air Jordan 1, the Jordan Grown was its own silhouette that reflected that “grown” sneakerhead look. After a short hiatus, the Grown series is back with the low-top V.5 model, seen here in the Black/Venom Green colorway.¬†Click in to see more angles, then cop yours at shops like Oneness.
