Jeff Staple’s immortal “Pigeon” theme is one that has touched on the New Balance range a handful of times before. Most recently there was the New Balance 577 “Pigeon” made in conjunction with Size? UK, a project preceded by the likes of a mean duo of New Balance 575 releases. This time around it lands on the New Balance 1300 via a DIY project by the likes of JP Custom Kicks. The inline colorway used as a based was tweaked to bring it in closer to Jeff’s NYC inspired look and adorned with a couple pigeon patches on the back end. See the sneakers in full detail below and stay tuned to see which shoe will be next to spread its wings with this colorway.

Nike Kobe 8 “Sunset” by JP Custom Kicks

nike kobe 8 sunset customs Nike Kobe 8 Sunset by JP Custom Kicks

Is the sun really setting on Kobe Bryant’s career? If so, we’d say JP Custom Kicks did a pretty good job of foreshadowing that move with this sunny pair of Nike Kobe 8s. Then again, it appears that the aim was to recreate the burnt orange tones of Nike Sportswear’s “Sunset” Air Max pack rather than to make any predictions about the Black Mamba’s career arch. And we’d say that aim is achieved, as the shoes build on a NIKEiD base with a crisp, hand-painted look. See full images on the Nike Kobe 8 “Sunset” from JP Custom Kicks after the jump and make sure to register your thoughts down in the comments.

air jordan iii oregon state customs 4 Air Jordan III Oregon State by JP Custom Kicks

The Nike x Oregon connection has been clearly presented over the years, with the recent Air Jordan Retro PEs putting an emphatic touch on this friendship that goes decades back. Oregon State has been thrown into the mix as well, with the Air Jordan IX getting that Beavers treatment with the classic White/Black/Orange, but we’ve yet to see the Air Jordan III go that route until now. Albeit a custom, this Air Jordan III “Oregon State” by JP Custom Kicks sorta mimics the “O” version as it was made as a “rivalry pair” for NFL Wide Receiver James Rodgers who went to Oregon State. The “8″ represents Rodgers’ jersey number with the Beavers, with custom Beavers logos on the heel mimicking the style of the Ducks wings seen in the actual PE. Take a look at this great custom below, and let us know what you think!

This year’s “What the LeBron” edition was one that actually came to retail, albeit via super limited numbers, as the Nike LeBron X “MVP”. And since they were so very very limited, we wouldn’t at all be surprised to see folks rushing to recreate them with the help of some custom creators. JP Custom Kicks for example has gone ahead and whipped up a Nike LeBron X “What the LeBron”, a shoe shown here that picks up pointers from the “Christmas”, “Pure Platinum”, “BHM”, and more. Is it possible that the University of Oregon would ever get their own version of the Nike Roshe Run? As far as we know, Roshe designer Dylan Raasch doesn’t have any connections with the school, not to mention the Roshe hasn’t been a sneaker prone to such treatments so far, so probably not. Giving them a Eugene-friendly look anyway is JP Custom Kicks, who has outfitted the Nike Roshe Run with an “Oregon Ducks Pit Crew” vibe inspired by the Air Jordan III “Pit Crew”. The connection between Superhero and Spiderman runs rampant in this latest custom work by JP Custom Kicks, who combines the Nike LeBron X and the Amazing Spiderman in this latest concept. While the colorway of Red, Blue, and Black isn’t something new, JP Custom Kicks puts an emphasis on Spiderman’s abilities to shoot sticky spiderwebs, with the white laces representing the webs and the details on the heel mimicking Spiderman’s hand motions when applying his web-spinning technique. We’ve got a gallery of photos for you below so take a look and let us know what you think of this Superhero-inspired custom!
