Chris Paul’s typically unselfish play helped the Los Angeles Clippers down the visiting Miami Heat Wednesday night, and he even found a way to lend help to a team who just lost their franchise cornerstone to Staples Center’s ‘other’ tenant. The Phoenix Suns were outlasted by the Chicago Bulls in an overtime loss last night, but PHX has much to play for after a surprisingly strong start sans any major stars. ‘Twas a major offseason for footwear brands and Jordan Brand seemed to be at the center of it all. Arguably the brand’s most popular name jumped ship to the Far East, but he was quickly replaced by another high-flying superstar, but another important development was Jordan Brand’s youth movement, as they signed several rookies to its roster of athletes. One such name is Phoenix Suns guard Kendall Marshall, who just showed off one of the biggest perks of being a member of Team Jordan – the free shoes. Of course ‘free shoes’ might not be explicitly stated in the contract, but as a UNC alumni, he’s probably used to the free Jordan footwear! Your thoughts on Jordan Brand signing on these youngsters? The sneaker selections at this year’s NBA Rookie Media Day photo shoot continue to be very much indicative of eventual signings. Of course you already know about Jordan Brand bringing in Michael Kidd-Gilchrist but he’s not the only athlete whose ink is still drying; Kendall Marshall, Jared Sullinger, and Jeff Taylor will also be among the newest crop of youngin’s to jump into the Jumpman.
