lebron 9 kentucky wildcats pe Nike LeBron 9 Kentucky Wildcats PE on eBay

There was a point in time this off-season when the Cleveland Cavaliers offered current Kentucky Coach John Calipari keys to the kingdom. Their reasoning? He was that close with LeBron James and would increase the chances that The King might return to Cleveland. While LeBron made his way to the shores of Lake Erie regardless of Calipari opting to stay in Kentucky, their mutual Nike connection should ensure Wildcat PEs in LeBron silhouettes for years to come. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that one of the Swoosh’s marquee collegiate basketball programs always get first dibs on the latest Nike signature, and this Nike LeBron 9 PE is a testament to that longstanding tradition. The pair keeps that signature royal blue and white intact while the ‘UK’ logo gets a prominent feature on the tongue. What do you think? Nike LeBron 11 Kentucky PEs

The NCAA set has officially started taking the LeBron 11 for a spin. Spotted decked out in the sneakers was the Kentucky Wildcats squad, who are no strangers to getting their own special pairs of LeBron shoes. As far as we can tell from the in-game images the sneakers don’t have any logos attached-instead relying on that recognizable combo of blue and white to communicate the school pride. See the shoes with us after the break and let us know in the comments if there are any other schools whose colors you think would look particularly good on the Nike LeBron XI.

Nike LeBron 9 – Kentucky Wildcats ‘Home’ PE

What the Duke Blue Devils have been for Kobe Bryant in recent years, we might be seeing from the LeBron James-Kentucky Wildcats union: super-elite global basketball superstar who skipped college entirely hooks up with a traditional powerhouse whose historically blue and white uniforms have added a bit of black in the past decade or so.  And that just means a bunch of dope player exclusive colorways for UK, and coming up soon after Midnight Madness sets in will be this new Nike LeBron 9 home PE.  This edition finds its colorblocking flipped and then the black sections made white when compared with the ‘away’ edition we’d been seeing, but the biggest single difference here is the ‘UK’ tongue logo whose place was held by King James’ signature on the other pair.  Does this mean it’s only a matter of time before the Kentucky ‘away’ and Ohio State PEs both feature their schools’ respective logos?  Stick with Sneaker News to find out, and check out more images of the Kentucky LeBron 9s in the meantime.  via Mjmvp23 on NT

Nike LeBron Line To Outfit Three College Teams

nike lebron line to outfit three college teams Nike LeBron Line To Outfit Three College Teams

Nike and Jordan Brand ballers Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony have been outfitting their AAU, high school and (where applicable) college teams with gear and player exclusive sneakers for years now.  The first two guys on that list skipped college altogether, which gives them the unique liberty of switching between schools, as is the case again this year with the Nike LeBron line.  Having previously outfitted the Akron Zips, King James stays loyal to his home state with another round of Ohio State player exclusives.  And since he was spotted in Wildcat colors at Rupp Arena last year, it’s not shocking to see Kentucky re-up with the King, but it’s the addition of newly-local University of Miami that makes this new lineup so interesting.  Will Ohioans further express their displeasure with the prodigal Chosen One or is this just a great opportunity to see some sick new PE colorways for models like the Nike LeBron 9?  Either way, with the threat of a longterm NBA lockout stretch looming, this might turn out to be a very shrewd move by Nike to ensure that the latest LeBron kicks will still get some shine on the hardwood this season no matter what happens.  via SunSentinel
