One of these things is not like the other. The latest iteration of the epic Rock the Bells hip-hop festival made its way to Mountain View, CA, over the weekend. As is to be expected when so many hip-hop heavyweights converge at one place in one time there was no shortage of on-feet sightings of all sorts. DMX showed up with an outfit channeling his days of yore, Timberlands and all. Fellow former Ruff Ryder Sheek Louch was also present, albeit with a more contemporary selection in the form of the recently released Air Jordan VII ‘Olympic’. Comparative youngin’s Mac Miller and Kid Cudi rounded out the group in the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’ and the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’. Stay with us after the jump for this photo recap and stick with Sneaker News should more shots pop up featuring sneaker sightings from Rock the Bells.

Kid Cudi lied about copping four pairs of the Nike Mag 2011. He actually bought five. During last night’s episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Kid Cudi revealed that he dropped roughly a year’s worth of college tuition on the Nike Mag 2011 eBay auctions – four for himself and a fifth pair for his girlfriend Jamie Baratta. To end up with five pairs is quite the impressive feat, especially considering Kid Cudi isn’t a weathered veteran of the ebay game; he created an eBay account right before the Nike Mag 2011 auctions. Check out some stills as well as Kid Cudi’s interview after the jump and let us know what you think!

The Nike Mag 2011s were certainly a huge celebrity draw, and the sneakerheads in that category definitely put up the dollars to guarantee themselves their Nike Mags. Kid Cudi claimed to have won four (yes, four) pairs of the Nike Mag 2011, and he recently broke out pair numero uno at a party thrown by Complex and Bacardi, during which he was the guest of honor (he graced the cover of Complex’s The Music Issue). Cudi was spotted with Mags on stage, lounging around, enjoying his drinks, and partying it up with his How To Make It In America co-stars, so check out the Mags in on-feet action below and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Mag 2011 sightings!

Air Jordan III & IV aficionado Kid Cudi was recently spotted at HBO’s Post-Emmy Party in Hollywood, CA that took place on Sunday evening. Kid Cudi, who in addition to be a hip-hop artist is a series regular of HBO’s ‘How To Make It In America’, was spotted wearing the Air Jordan III ‘True Blue’ while canoodling with celebrities and fellow actors like Michael K. Williams, who is known for his defining role as Omar Little in ‘The Wire’ and is currently a cast-member of HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire’ and NBC’s ‘Community’. While Cudi’s acting resume isn’t nearly as decorated as that of Williams’, we all know Cudi first as one of today’s most progressive hip-hop artists. We’ve got more of Kid Cudi below so take a look and let us know what you think. via sandrarose.

Kid Cudi made some big news recently when we learned that he copped four pairs of the Nike Mag 2011 during the 10-day auction event. However, it’s been documented that one of Cudi’s favorite sneakers of all-time is the Air Jordan IV, and we’ve spotted him in them a healthy number of times. The most recent was at his concert at the Molson Amphitheatre, when he wore the Air Jordan IV ‘Black Cat’ during his concert up in Toronto. Cudi’s attire has been more ‘rock’ than ‘rap’ star, wearing skinny jeans, motorcycle jackets, and vintage-inspired graphic t-shirts, but his sneaker selections won’t change much due to his penchant for Air Jordans and Nikes. It’s just one of the many unique images and styles in the hip-hop scene today, so check out Kid Cudi and his kicks below and stick with Sneaker News for more Celebrity Feet features. via thecomeupshow.

During his interview on the Late Show with David Letterman, Michael J. Fox pointed out that the 1,500 pairs of the Nike Mag 2011 that will auction will bring together three major populations: the Parkinson’s community, the Back To The Future fanatics, and the sneakerheads. Kid Cudi is primarily a member of that third group as his sneaker travels as a noted connoisseur have been well documented here on Sneaker News, and the fact that he settled for not one, not two, but four pairs of the Nike Mag 2011 just proves that his sneaker fever is rather serious. Having the money of the popular hip-hop star sure does hurt either, and his recent visit to 21 Mercer to see the Mags for himself (thanks to Freshness for the heads up) only shows that he was serious bidder from the start. After the opening rounds of the Nike Mag 2011 auctions, the final prices have fallen just a bit now that the excitement is starting the ease, so if you’re ready to shell out a few thousands for your piece of Nike history and to contribute to Michael J. Fox’s charity, head to nikemag.ebay.com.

Kid Cudi performed last night at New York City’s famed Terminal 5, which was also the venue for a special event held by Bacardi called ‘Like it Live’. Cudi, who performed a lengthy and inpired set-list, wore the Air Jordan III White/Cement during his appearance, wearing the shoes in its original form – hangtag and all. It’s been a while since Sneaker News featured Kid Cudi in a Celebrity Feet highlight, but earlier this year we did show you a compiled list of his best moments in the Air Jordan III and Air Jordan IV. Does this sighting constitute one of those moments? Check out Cudi and his AJ3s after the jump and let us know what you think. via Complex/techieNYC.
