NBA Feet: LeBron James Nike LeBron 9 P.S. Elite White/Red PE

LeBron James and the Miami Heat took a commanding 2-0 lead in their First Round Series against the New York Knicks, and their leader did so in style by wearing a PE colorway of the controversial Nike LeBron 9 P.S. Elite. Unlike the released version, which featured a Gold trim and contrast Flywire cables, this PE features a red midsole with matching laces as well as a White swoosh and a black ankle-vent on the upper. LeBron also wore a PE in Game 1, which was just the ‘Home’ colorway with a Metallic Red swoosh. What sort of PE will LeBron have in store for us when he visits New York for Game 3? Check out the in-game shots as well as close-ups of LeBron’s Game 2 kicks below and let us know what you think. Photos: yahoo

NBA Feet: Weekend Recap 4/28 4/29

The NBA Playoffs kicked off this weekend with back-to-back days of action-packed NBA action. The first game of has proven to be the pace-maker for these seven-game series, but as teams enter play tonight, fortunes can change. The Playoffs started off on a bit of a down note, as reigning MVP Derrick Rose and rookie phenom Iman Shumpert suffered season-ending injuries that will undoubtedly change the fortunes of their teams. There were still plenty of gallant performances to note, like Chris Paul’s daring comeback, Andrew Bynum’s triple-double, and Josh Smith’s 22-and-18 – all coming during victories. For kicks, it was our first look at the Nike Basketball Elite Series, as Kobe Bryant wore his Elite VII ‘Home’ with a purple swoosh, while LeBron wore his Elite 9 with a red swoosh. Kevin Durant, who was not included in the Elite Series, wore a clean White/Blue PE of the Zoom KD IV, and the Hyperdunk 2011 Elite was worn by Nike big-men Chris Bosh and Tyson Chandler. Nike Air Max 2011 LeBron James PE

LeBron James has a pair of Air Forces on the way, why not Maxes too?  Just days before the King James/Black Mamba Pack of Air Force 1s hits retailers this Saturday, we have a look at a Nike Air Max+ 2011 that’s arguably even more custom tailored to LeBron.  The relatively simple white-on-red design evokes memories of the recent ‘Christmas Day’ Nike LeBron drops while the ‘LJ’ crown insignia on the heels applies the finishing touch on a design that’s just as ‘Cincinnati’ as it is MIA.  There’s also the potential to see a slight Miami of Ohio tie-on, which seems appropriate for Akron’s most famous son and a guy who still carries the 330 in his Twitter handle.  Click through to see more of what ‘Bron just tweeted and stick with Sneaker News for more rare player exclusives.

LeBron James x Nike Air Force 1 High

Are we looking at a continuation of the LeBron James x Nike Sportswear Collection of the Holiday 2011 season? We showed you these crispy High-cut Air Force 1s a few days ago, but here it is again sprawled among a nice spread of Nike Sportswear apparel donning LBJ’s ’6′ jersey number as well as his stylized lion logo. These Forces couldn’t be any cleaner though, as it utilized the soft grain leather in a tonal-black package paired with a solid white outsole and accents of red on the interior lining as well as on the ‘AIR’ on the midsole. We’ll keep you updated if the LeBron James x NSW is in fact receiving a continuation for this Summer 2012 season, but rest assured that these Forces will hit stores this April 28th. Photo: edtrigger

NBA Feet: Weekend Recap 4/13 4/15

There’s a little less than two weeks to go in the NBA season, but the NBA kicks just seem to get better and better. After debuting the Ambassador IV on Friday night, LeBron whipped out the Nike LeBron 9 Low in Black/Red against the Knicks on Sunday. The Garden seemed to be home to a lot of great sightings, because we saw the Air Jordan 2012, Air Jordan X, Kobe VII ‘Wolf’, and even John Wall’s ‘Beyond The Gold’ PE hit the Mecca floor. Other notables include Nate Robinson showing the Melo M8 some love, OJ Mayo rocking the tonal patent leather navy Air Max CB 34 HOH exclusives, and Timofey Mosgov boasting what might be the best iD colorway of the Huarache 2k4. The sneaker king of the week is without a doubt Monta Ellis, who showed up on Friday night with the Air Jordan XVI CDP and Air Jordan XVIII CDP (switching at halftime), and on Sunday with the Silver Anniversary XI. More of this weekend’s best footwear sightings, so take a look for a full recap of NBA Feet! Photos: espn
