We’ve seen what the Nike LeBron X can do in black and red courtesy of the Heat away ‘Pressure’ colorup, but what happens if those colors are reversed? An already aggressive palette pushes the envelope with this high contrast makeup featuring no outlines or insets, just a ‘raging’ take on the Miami Heat’s color scheme. There’s just a hint of yellow too (or is that gold?) on the medial heel’s ‘X’ anniversary medallion that takes the place of the diamond ’6′, crown-and-sceptre, radioactive Dunkman and other unique identifiers we’ve seen on the King’s tenth Nike Basketball signature. LeBron James rocked em after Sunday night’s tilt against the Hawks in Atlanta; click through so you can see the rest of the outfit and stick with Sneaker News as we approach NBA tip-off 2012.

Alongside the Nike LeBron signature model is a slew of other models that are just as visually exciting, but easier on the wallet. These models, like the Ambassador series and the LeBron ST Low, have yet to hit the States, but who knows what product channel might open now that LeBron is now a widely celebrated athlete across the nation? Bringing this upcoming 2013 LeBron Low model wouldn’t be a bad start; it features an upper akin to the LeBron X with the sharp diamond-edge Hyperfuse cutouts and panels and re-flips the Swoosh back into its regular composition, but the midsole/outsole design suggests that this is something of a LeBron ST Low model rather an a LeBron X Low. In any case, five outstanding colorways are available for previewing just below, so take a look and keep it locked in on Sneaker News for all LeBron X updates!

LeBron James is definitely feeling some of that international love (but is it on that Kobe level) as he’s currently on tour in China to meet and greet his fans on the other side of the globe while beginning the launch of the Nike LeBron X. During his stay, LeBron was absolutely enamored by a special gift given to him by one of his fans out in China – a pair of Nike LeBron 9 iDs specially selected for the King; it features a Heat-filled mix with a yellow/black upper with red accents on the outsole, interior lining, and Swoosh. LeBron’s definitely appreciative of the gesture, but think you can make a better iD? Check out the images below and let us know if you can come up with a better design.

He’s already responsible for the most expensive basketball sneaker ever released and will soon push the market to unprecedented territory with a $300+ signature model, but LeBron James has shown up exclusively in one of his secondary models during a celebratory tour of China. The two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, reigning NBA Champion and three-time MVP (all those summer of 2010 and ’11 doubts start to sound a little silly when you read that this August, no?) is apparently quite fond of the Nike Air Max Ambassador 5, and the black/red colorway in particular. Click through to see it in action ‘against’ the Nike Hyperdunk+ LeBron wore in London and let us know where this new Ambassador V ranks among a signature series that continues to set new standards from all angles.

The subject of sneakers has marched back into the mouths of the mainstream media this week, with quite a few outlets commenting on that $315 price tag that’s being slapped on to the Nike+ version of the Nike LeBron 10. So all of a sudden the typical topics that you see on sites like ours is getting lip service from less sneaker focused but still sports-centric publications – the widely subscribed Sports Illustrated being one of them. Sticking with the theme of the athlete/sneaker relationship they’ve dug up an impressive gallery of guys and gals from various sports caught with their footwear, some shots featuring signature silhouettes and some featuring models that were merely played in from time to time. Click through for the huge gallery that spans a good chunk of years with athletes like Wilt Chamberlain, Usain Bolt, Tim Duncan, Chamique Holdsclaw, Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Ryan Lochte, and Jeremy Lin all featured and less us know if you think this is the beginning of sports media getting much more involved in the sneaker game.

Just look at the sincere smile in LeBron James‘ eyes: this is where the young King has always belonged. LeBron is enjoying a hectic summer after joining Michael Jordan as the only players to win NBA MVPs and Championships along with an Olympic Gold Medal in one season, and his current tour of China celebrates the greatest player of his generation with four days starting with yesterday’s stop in the city where he won his first Olympic Gold. A couple thousand fans were on hand in Beijing to see a bunch of kicks given away, most notably the Nike Hyperdunk+ ‘Sport Pack’ and James’ own Zoom Soldier 6 (LeBron himself was again rocking the upcoming Nike Air Max Ambassador 5). Have a look at more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on LeBron James’ China promo tour.
